?External hard drives are still used quite often, I actually have 4 external hard drives hooked up to my main machine right now. External hard drives are very popular because they are easy to install (just plug them in) and make it so you can transfer files between 2 machines with ease. Today we will be taking a look at a 1TB drive from Verbatim. This USB drive would be a perfect addition to anyone?s desktop system and can even be used with a laptop. Let?s take a look!

"Today for review I?ve got the new Verbatim CLŌN 320GB portable hard drive. It?s a 2.5? drive encased in a black plastic shell, it?s one of the smallest I?ve had the please of reviewing and one of the fastest as well. Included on the drive is Nero BackItUp 4 so you can easily, quickly and even automatically perform your backups. I?ve put it up against two other portable hard drives I?ve got on hand for comparison, and I found that the Verbatim CLŌN drive is the fastest of the bunch, and also the smallest, so read on to learn more.. " Today for review I?ve got the Verbatim Tuff-Clip 8GB USB drive. This USB drive resembles a carabineer style clip that you can attach to most anything. The drive comes with software to create two partitions as well, one secure and one public so you can hide any important data so it can?t be accessed without a password. I?ve put it up against a few other 8gb USB drives I?ve got on hand for comparison and the Tuff-Clip performs well actually.."

Our lives come down to a succession of choices which inevitably lead us through our triumphs and failures. Not to discount random circumstance, clarity of purpose often ensures a more favorable outcome than cloudy half-formed goals listlessly pursued. I am willing to bet successful men and women are capable of narrowing down the sum of their lives to a few well-timed, ingenious decisions. However, the majority on the other side of the coin could list a litany of misfires, sins of omission and outright failures that led them down the wrong path. A successful company can also be boiled down to correct choices made at the right time. When dealing with computer hardware manufacturers, the results are tangible, quality products. Like our individual lives, every product to hit the market is the culmination of decisions. Some are misfires and there are sins of omission and others are catastrophic failures. Today we're looking at the Verbatim 8 GB TUFF-CLIP, a great flash drive, showcasing what happens when a company makes all the right decisions.

The Verbatim Store 'n' Go memory sticks occupy the budget end of the entire Store 'n' Go series. They offer size and quality over performance and features, but have a smaller price tag than the other Store 'n' Go variants. 4GB at $30-35 may not sound bad, so we take a close look the USB stick and see if the savings are worth it.

The Verbatim Store 'n' Go U3 is a Smart Drive with the U3 Launchpad included on the memory stick. The addition of the software and improved performance cost the end user around $10 USD more, when compared to the basic Store 'n' Go 4 GB variant available. We benchmark the Verbatim U3 Smart Drive and let you know if the performance and software are worth the small price premium.

The Verbatim Store 'n' Go PRO series is geared toward business men and women who need fast and large storage devices with the security to safeguard confidential information. The blue 2 GB variant may not look very out of the ordinary, but the inside is what counts. It certainly sounds good, with read speeds of ~24MB/s and write speeds of ~13MB/s and an included security suite.

It's hard to imaging a portable device today without some sort of flash memory. They are ubiquitous among technology consumers, and enthusiasts use them to transport files between home and work. Now "portable apps" are starting to emerge, whereas you can run an all-inclusive program from a flash device on any PC. All the configuration is kept on the portable device: no InstallShield, no registry, no "DLL hell". Verbatim has released their Store'n'Go Hard Drive which aspires to be more than a traditional portable drive. This device allows you to run applications directly, without installing on the host machine. You can even browse directly from it, preventing all temporary internet files (including favorites, history, etc) from even touching the host computer.
