"ViewSonic has been in the computer display market for a long time, but has only recently stepped into the computer market. The company has a few ultraportable machines that include some really good models and a few that aren?t so great. Along with the ultraportable market, ViewSonic also entered into the All in One (AIO) market as well with a line of AIO machines that are based on netbook hardware. Today I am looking at one such machine with the ViewSonic VPC190."

"ViewSonic is a company you would likely associate with monitors, but the Taiwanese company has had its nose in new various different businesses for a little while now and one of those is computers. ViewSonic produce a range of regular laptops, but also got in on the netbook thing when Intel released its first Atom processor. Now that Intel?s new Pinetrail netbook platform is out on the market, the one with the Atom N450 processor with built-in graphics and memory controller for better battery life, ViewSonic is also out with a new netbook built on the same platform. Today we get a close-up look at the ViewSonic VNB108. It may only be on sale in Asian markets, but it promises some lovely worded features such as 802.11n wireless networking, an advanced anti-glare LED screen and Windows 7 support. But how does it really perform?"

"ViewSonic is most known for its range of TVs, PC displays and digital picture frames. The company has been making all sorts of computer displays for years now and has just started branching out into the notebook arena. Interestingly, the ViewSonic ViewBook Pro at first glance doesn't look like a freshman offering. In fact, if you look at the ViewSonic ViewBook Pro too quickly, you might actually mistake the thing for an Apple MacBook Pro. The minimalist design, silver on black colors and elegant looks of the machine certainly appeal to the same senses that draw many to the MacBook line."

"When considering which PC to buy, the terms "all-in-one" and "performance" needn't be mutually exclusive: Look no further than Dell's XPS One, HP's TouchSmart, or Apple's iMac product lines for proof. These machines are outfitted with components that render them strong enough to keep up with most mainstream conventional desktop rigs. ViewSonic's All-in-One VPC100 is a whole 'nother kettle o' bits, though. While it's true this computer is priced several hundred dollars less than those other machines, the manufacturer's component choices sadly render it fit only for the simplest of computing tasks."

Desk space, something we always want to have a lot of but the more gadgets we get the less space we have. Besides a case your monitor probably takes up the most space on your desk. With 22-inch and 24-inch monitors becoming the standard your desk space really becomes limited. Well ViewSonic wants to help you with that problem with the VX1962wm. This 19-inch display has a native resolution of 1680 x 1050, which is the native resolution of larger 22-inch displays. It also features a 2ms response time, 6000: 1 contrast ratio and a very sleek design. Let's takes a look!

If you work in an environment where precise colour rendition is vital, such as medical or graphics production, the VP950b should be perfectly suited to your needs. It's well built, has a good range of connection options (digital and analogue), and the flexible stand allows you to position the display for maximum viewing comfort. Gamers will want a higher resolution and an HDMI port, but then the monitor isn't aimed at this market. Overall the VP950b is a very good monitor for general Windows users.

Clearly the ViewSonic VX1940w is not a mass market monitor that will convince the mainstream hordes to ditch their 22-inch panels. But it could be extremely attractive for a few niche markets and for those able to divert their attention away from simple screen acreage. Obviously, it's a great solution when space is in short supply. No doubt LAN gamers will appreciate the combination of high detail, speedy pixel response and compact, travel-friendly dimensions. It also makes for a very nice low-profile secondary display with decent resolution, perhaps to compliment a large 30-inch primary panel.
