After reviewing their Pro Pad, Christopher from XTracPads has been kind enough to send over another mouse pad for review. This time it?s the other end of the spectrum with a massive pad ? the Ripper XXL which not only offers greater space for mouse movement but also encompasses the keyboard and pretty much everything on your desk. Let?s crack on and see how it performs?

Here today at Verdis Reviews, we have a product that is from a company specialising in one particular accessory ? the mouse pad. For many enthusiasts, the mouse mat is not an important decision and they use any product, the cheaper the better. However, should we be taking more care over choosing the perfect mat? In my opinion, the answer is obvious ? yes; mouse pads are really key and the wrong one can prove irritating and frustrating as your mouse won?t function as well. Therefore, the product we are reviewing today aims to be the perfect soft surface mat for gaming and also general use ? the XTracPads Pro Pad.

The XtracPads Hammer is another new mouse pad from the XtracPads series. It's a harder surface and it offers the hexagonal pattern for increased sensitivity for better mouse tracking. It also offers a much bigger surface than any hard surface from Xtracpads before and it's much thinner as well. Making it almost a part of your desk.

While doing some online shopping recently I decided to look into how I might possibly improve my mousing experience, and the Pro Mousepad and Mad Dotz from XTracPads caught my eye. To be honest, the Mad Dotz were the only aftermarket stick-on mouse feet/pads I saw at this particular site, and the Pro was the cheapest gaming mousepad that didn't have pictures of dogs or WoW characters printed on it.

When my ears first caught mention of the word "Fat Mat", I immediately thought of a mousepad similar to the size of the XTracPads Ripper XXL but with a gigantic width. Personally, I don?t prefer to have such a large mousepad, especially since I started using my laptop as my main computer. To my delight, the XTracPads Fat Mat was closer in width to the XTracPads Hybrid, but was also very nearly two thirds thicker - wow! It definitely sparked an interest in me to see how it performed when compared to the current APH King of Mousepads, the XTracPads Hybrid. Just a slight shock as I received the package -- who the heck is Herbert Nui? No hard feelings though, it actually cracked me up somewhat!

The Ripper provided a smooth and consistent surface for a cloth pad and didn't leave any truly negative impressions. I not once had any erratic movements from my mouse and even use in Photoshop was as smooth as you could ask for.

The XTracPads Mad Dotz try to overcome the weakest link between a mouse and the mouse pad - the glide feet. The Mad Dotz greatly reduce the friction between the two parts and make mouse movement a lot easier and increase the speed greatly. At a price of just under four US Dollars, these Dotz perform well for a limited time.

The XTracPads Ripper is the smaller brother of the Ripper XXL. The mouse pad series comes in three different sizes, all with a wide aspect ratio. The thin cloth pad is incredibly soft and comfortable, with the under-padding clinging to the table quite nicely. We give a few mice a hurl on the Ripper to see if the unique aspect ratio is just what a gamer needs.

The XTracPads Zoom is incredibly thin and lightweight. In fact it is thinner than the pad's own packaging. The Zoom is meant for speed and the low height should make it quite comfortable. We take a few mice for a spin and let you know if the hard surface stays in place and does the job.

The XTracPads Pro is a specialty mouse pad. The smooth surface and small size coupled with a great sense of accuracy make it perfect for RPG or real time strategy gamers. We take a close look at each of these attributes and its durability to see if it is the pro choice for these type of games.
