"Lite-On are one of the clear players in the ROM market thanks to a massive array of drives that span from DVD to Blu-ray, internal to external and everything else that matters when it comes to buying a ROM drive. We don't look at heaps of ROM drives here at TweakTown, but every once in a while a new one will make its way into the labs and we'll figure out if it's going to replace what we currently have.
Today we'll be checking out the iHES208. Aside from playing DVDs, it manages to also handle Blu-rays, making it an option for home theater PC users. You don't just need a HTPC to make use of this drive, though. Maybe you've got a large screen on your main PC and you enjoy some high def goodness as much as the person with a $3,000 TV in the lounge."

Most consumer electronic products that use flash memory have
moved to SD/SDHC media and with the convergences comes products that can
be smaller and portable. Kingston produced an update to the original
MobileLite brand of portable card reader known as the MobileLite G2 and
this is the focus of the review.

"It's been ages since we've seen HIS attach a model with its IceQ+ cooling. Over the recent months we've seen more iCooler and reference cards from the company. It's not that there's anything wrong with these models, it's just that when I think of HIS, the first series that comes to mind is the IceQ+ one.
The latest model to get the IceQ+ treatment comes in the form of a HD 5670 which follows up from the HD 5750 model we looked at just recently. Having a look at this particular card, you'll see the IceQ+ cooler that we've seen in the past from other mid-range HIS models in the same series."

Before AMD has a chance to launch another Radeon 5-series GPU and finally offer a top-to-bottom line-up, Sapphire Technology is taking the opportunity of bringing special-edition treatment to the Radeon HD 5850.
First released in September 2009 and in supply constraint for most of the year, Radeon HD 5850s are now available from most etailers, starting at around £215 and rising to £265 for pre-overclocked models.
Sapphire, then, is hoping to bridge the gap that exists between the HD 5850 and HD 5870 with a duo of cards, both pre-overclocked, that go under the established Vapor-X and TOXIC banners.
We take a brief look at the £270 TOXIC model - the higher-specified of the two - and determine whether it makes financial sense. Read on to find out.

Today, we get the chance to examine their latest hard drive in the Eagletech ET-CSMDSU2-BK. The new enclosure works pretty much the same as the JBOD enclosure in the earlier part of this introduction but sports a better and more functional design. But what we like most about it is that it is completely tool-less. No needs for tools or long assembly processes. Just insert your two drives of any size but needs to be SATA and connect it to any open USB 2.0 port. Done and finish. Time to take a closer look at the new JBOD enclosure from Eagletech.

AMD is promising a lot with the Catalyst 10.2 and 10.3 drivers. More performance and more features with Eyfinity and CrossFire. We
checked the new drivers. Total awesomeness?

ASUS has been a longtime partner to Intel, and both companies have been made better because of their relationship. But when it comes to new technology, sometimes Intel takes a little too long to implement change while ASUS prefers to offer their faithful consumers the options right away. Intel's tick-tock plan doesn't coincide with the technical improvements made to areas outside of processor development, such as SuperSpeed USB-3.0 or Revision 3.x SATA 6.0-Gbps (aka SATA-III) controllers. Most hardware enthusiasts agree that it's awkward to see Intel's "Enthusiast" branded X58-Express chipset paired to older standards while "Mainstream" P55 motherboards enjoy the better and faster new ones. ASUS feels the same way, and now offers their P6X58D-Premium motherboard to forward-thinking enthusiasts who might not want to wait for the launch of Intel's X68-Express platform. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests several X58-based ! motherboard against the ASUS P6X58D-Premium in heat-to-head graphics, processor, memory, and SSD storage performance.

?When it comes to choosing an optical drive sometimes it can be hard. A lot of people just choose the cheapest drive, but that is not always the best route. Today we will be looking at a new combo drive from ASUS that allows for Blu-ray playback and DVD/CD burning. It also has some really cool features like being able to encrypt your burnt discs with 128-bit encryption, True Theater High Definition which boosts DVD playback quality and Optimal Tuning Strategy which will perform a test before really burning a disc to generate an optimal burning strategy for the best burning quality. Let?s see if t he BC-08B1ST Blu-ray Combo Drive is right for you."

"In this review, we've looked at the ASRock A330ION from head to toe, reviewing the hardware trifecta of NVIDIA's ION graphics chipset, Intel's dual core Atom 330 processor, and ASRock's integration of DDR3. Providing outputs for high definition audio, DVI, VGA, HDMI, gigabit ethernet, eSATA, and so forth, the ASRock A330ION proves it is willing to be friends with whatever components you have lying on your desk, which is to say it's capable of being as well-connected as a Washington DC socialite. While the I/O for the ASRock A330ION isn't exactly as media oriented as the Zotac IONITX-A-U we've been comparing it against, the A330ION sports four internal SATA ports as well as the 2 eSATA ports on the back panel, shifting the ASRock A330ION Mini-ITX motherboard into a very fine position for network storage computers without sacrificing much in the way of media interfaces..."

AMD last month launched five processor models, three Athlon II's and two Phenom II's, and we're taking a look at one of each. The Phenom II is a 3.20GHz dual-core, and a Black Edition dual-core at that, while the Athlon II is the ultra-affordable 2.9GHz quad-core. Let's see how both stack up to the rest of AMD's line-up, and the competition.

?When you think of ThinkPad?s you think of business notebooks and they really are. I?ve reviewed quite a few ThinkPad?s over the past few years and the features are unrivaled when it comes to other notebooks. But the thing about the ThinkPad?s is that they don?t appeal to many people, even small business users. Lenovo noticed this and came out with the ThinkPad Edge. The Edge is a very attractive 13-inch notebook that provides the right amount of business and consumer features. The Edge is also one of the first ThinkPad?s that has an AMD processor option. Let?s see if the ThinkPad Edge is the perfect new laptop for you!"

"After ASUS AT3N7A-I and Zotac ION ITX series, we got another mini-ITX motherboard based on the NVIDIA ION chipset and the Intel Atom 330 CPU -- Pegatron IPX7A-ION/330. Its key difference is a PCIe x16 slot that also supports PCIe x4 and x1 expansion cards. Pegatron couldn't improve NVIDIA's already successful solution, but the motherboard has no significant drawbacks as well."
