When Dell acquired Alienware back in 2006, many were expecting to see Alienware taking advantage of the Dell distribution network and go global. Such was the demand for its Alien branded gaming desktops and laptops, but unfortunately hopes were dashed when it turned out that the units were only available in six countries. However, after a corporate restructuring and the merging of the two brands' gaming lines, Dell has launched the Dell Alienware M17x and increased the reach to 35 countries, of which Singapore is one of them. We've been pestering our local Dell reps for some time now to get our hands on the 17-inch gaming monster, but units weren't available due to factors beyond its control. However, the company has placated us with the smaller Dell Alienware m15x, which while smaller, is not to be underestimated in terms of specifications or looks. The bling-ish 15-inch gaming machine sports Intel's new Core i7 processor, a whopping 8GB of RAM, NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 260M and leaves no doubt in anyone's mind that this machine is built strictly for performance.

The Cooler Master Sentinel Advance mouse is the best gaming mouse on the market today with eight programmable buttons, five profiles that can be set for different games, a solid feel and look and the features that you want from a gaming mouse including up to 5600 DPI precision on two lasers that allow great control of your gaming. The mouse comes in an attractive package and is customizable with your own logo and with weights, allowing it to become lighter if you wish. Precision in games is wonderful, but not so much for normal usage as moving the mouse pointer across the screen in Word. In this case the DPI +/- buttons come in very handy. The Cooler Master Sentinel Advance is a solid Editor's Choice for a gaming mouse and highly recommended.

"Today for review I?ve got another notebook or netbook cooler from our friends over at Thermaltake called the Massive23 CS. Not long ago I reviewed the Massive23 ST so the name might sound familiar, but the Massive23 CS is a bit different in that it?s all aluminum, the design is more open, and the fan features LEDs to add a bit of color to your day. I?ve tested it with both my Acer Aspire One D250 and the new Ion based HP Mini 311 netbook to see how well it handles the heat, so read on to learn more about the Massive23 CS and how it performs? "

Media center setups are now a part of many homes, and with that comes the need to have good input devices to handle the functionality of the setup. Logitech steps forward with the diNovo Edge and really brings home what it means to be a major player in the input device market. This product does pretty much everything right.

"The reviewed card is interesting for its higher clock rates, the customized cooler, and the advanced overclocking capabilities provided by the Afterburner utility from the developer of RivaTuner. The latter allows increasing voltages, as well as clock rates."

"Today we are going to look at the Asus K50IN notebook that is kitted out for menial tasks and multimedia playback. So it provides more power than their netbook range, but significantly less than you?ll get with one of their gaming-orientated notebooks."

The Radeon 5000 series of graphics cards were rather recently released by AMD/ATI and for the very first time in a couple of years, AMD/ATI (hereafter referred to as only AMD) is back in the performance lead. NVIDEA will release their next generation of graphics cards rather soon but no date is set and very little information about it has leaked to the press.

The OCZ Technology 60GB Agility solid state drive offers impressive performance in both read and write testing. It came close to achieving its rated sequential read speed of 230MB/s in each benchmark, but what was particularly impressive was that it consistently exceeded its rated sequential write speed of 135MB/s.

"Give thanks for the good old hard drive. If there's been one constant in the modern era of desktop computing - CPUs and motherboards notwithstanding - this is it. Initially unveiled in mainframe computers way back in the 1950s, first appearing in home systems in the early 1970s, and finally replacing removable floppy discs completely as the preferred method of high-volume storage in the mid-1980s, hard drives are a high-tech staple."

"For this review I will be looking at a new power supply from a company that was once better known for its cooling solutions than power supplies, this is changing now though. The company is Nexus and the power supply I will be looking at for this review is the 530watt NX-5000 R3."

Andre Romelle Young, aka Dr. Dre may not be able to tout a medical degree as part of his many accomplishments but when it comes to producing music, the man is a legend. "Recommending the Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse is an absolute no-brainer. Although this isn't the cheapest mouse on the market, with its Blue track technology, amazing battery life, portability along with excellent build quality makes the product rise up to the price."
