ASUS has put together an excellent package with the X1600XT Silent. You get totally silent operation, the features you expect from a video card today and the performance to play games like Oblivion and F.E.A.R. at medium resolutions and settings. The HTPC builder will love the card, as it'll fit in many small form factor PCs and has excellent video features...

The EAX1600XT Silent is built on a red PCB that is essentially identical to ATI's X1600XT. It's equipped with 256MB of GDDR3 video memory much like ATI's card. Additionally Asus has integrated a Rage Theater video decoder/encoder for basic SVIDEO/Composite VIVO functionality - which may be of use for those that want to capture video off of their old camcorders or hook up their console systems to play on a PC monitor. While our ATI X1600XT had dual DVI outputs the Asus only has VGA, DVI-I, and a connector for the VIVO breakout box. There's no dual-link DVI disappointingly...
