We've never seen a board this well equipped before! Included are two Gigabit NIC's (neither of which run on the PCI bus), an additional four-port SATA RAID controller which is capable of running RAID 5, three IEEE 1394b ports, four SATA II ports, an onboard 7.1 audio codec, dual BIOS', and a PCI 802.11g wireless network card for good measure! Overall the Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI performed very well in the whole slew of benchmarks that we ran. It was slightly slower than the rest of the boards in SYSmark2004, and showed some memory bandwidth pinching, but everything else was pretty close.

The GA-K8NXP-SLI oozes of being an enthusiast's motherboard, and it shows throughout, from the thoughtful packaging which doubles as a test bed for the board through to the comprehensive set of overclocking features available in the BIOS. Performance is also generally on a par with other nForce4 boards we've seen, and the whole system was rock-solid stable throughout. The appearance of Gigabyte initiatives such as DPS and Dual BIOS add to that feeling of powerful stability, even in a worst case scenario such as a BIOS failure or power surge.

Gigabyte's GA-K8NXP-SLI can be summed up in just two lines and that is a motherboard designed by a vendor who is renowned to give you the very best features fused together with the industry's highest performing enthusiast chipset. For one, this NVIDIA nForce4 SLI motherboard has been decked with enough highlights that it is hard for any others to rival it.
