Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R is top mainstream motherboard based on the latest Intel mainstream chipset, P35, supporting both DDR3 and DDR2 memories and having several extra features like eight SATA-300 ports (two of them can be converted into eSATA) and high-end components (solid aluminum capacitors, ferrite coils and better MOSFET transistors). Let�s see the features and performance from this new Gigabyte release.

Besides being the hybrid clone of the GA-P35-DS3R, Gigabyte's GA-P35C-DS3R is an amazing alternative for great overclocking with DDR3 support on the side offering overclockers the flexibility and freedom of memory configuration without compromise.

Gigabyte, like others, released a slew of motherboards utilizing Intel's P35 chipset when it was first announced. The P35C-DS3R is unique to their line-up though, since it will accept both DDR2 and DDR3 memory. We pit the boards performance using both types of memory against our recently reviewed ASUS P5K and P5K3.
