Today we are going to examine a couple of overclocked GeForce 8800 GTX cards as well as an 8800 GTS 320MB solution. The card from XFX is one of the fastest in its class and is one of the best choices, though it yields to EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX ACS3. The second card is a very interesting GeForce 8800 GTX from MSI equipped with a powerful liquid cooling system. Its efficiency allowed to raise card frequencies up to 610/2000 MHz. That's why it's the fastest product of all three reviewed today. The third accelerator is a simple 8800 GTS 320MB reference card from ASUS.

We have not seen MSI venture to water cooled cards before and the 8800 GTX is still of a bit of an untapped market for this. Asus has an Aqua model which uses the aging Tide Water system from Thermaltake. This particular system is not too quiet, takes up a load of room, and is generally pretty inefficient. The only other company to have a water cooled card is BFG Tech but its version is a bit more hardcore, it is only for people who already have a water cooled system in their case. MSI on the other hand seems to use its own design which unlike the Tide Water looks to cool everything from the GPU to the memory and unlike the BFG Tech is an all in one system making it a good option for people who do not really know what they are doing.

Nvidia's 8800GTX has been dominating the high end GPU market for around 6 months now and there has been little variation in this department. However, MSI have now released an overclocked GTX with its own water cooling setup. This is the MSI OC Liquid, let's see if it can give us some nice numbers.

NVIDIA's top dog, the GeForce 8800 GTX gets the water-cooling treatment from MSI with its newest NX8800GTX OC Liquid. Like its name suggest, it's overclocked and quite different from the typical reference card. Read on for our thoughts about this 'elitist' card.

The above card is MSI's latest incarnation of the 8800GTX, though as you can see, this one comes with something a bit extra. This overclocked GTX is called the "OC Liquid" and comes with a 610mhz core clock and a 2000mhz memory clock (Stock: 575/1800). To make sure this blazingly fast card stays cool, MSI have tacked on the card's very own Water Cooling loop complete with miniature pump and high end copper waterblock.

We recently looked at ASUS' AquaTank 8800GTX and in less than ten days, MSI sends us their water-cooled edition for the 8800GTX. Lets find out how "Liquid" compares to "Aquatank"
