With the prices of TFTs tumbling, it won't be long before some of the high end panels will be within the reach of the "prosumer". Additionally, many of these panels are now labelled as "cinema screens", with a widescreen aspect of 16:9 or even 16:10. We couldn't resist obtaining one of these new crop of cinema screens to put through its paces, and see whether the extra expense over a good quality 17" or 19" TFT is worth it.

There are only a handful of 24" LCD displays in existence with the specs and quality of this one, and if you are in the market for a high quality wide screen LCD for computing applications, I do not think you will be disappointed with the Samsung SyncMaster 243T.
