Antec Three Hundred is an inexpensive mini-tower case for users demanding a small yet powerful case - according to the manufacturer there is enough room for you to install video cards from GeForce 8800 family in it, featuring three 5.25" bays, six internal 3.5 " bays, one 120-mm rear fan, one top 140-mm fan (both with individual speed control), plus space for installing three extra 120-mm fans (two on the front and one at the side). Let's take an in-depth look on this latest release from Antec.

Early last year, Antec launched their gaming line of cases with the Antec Nine Hundred - instantly garnering praise throughout the PC enthusiast crowd. Its main claim to fame was the complete openess of the front bezel, using perforated bays and 120mm fans to keep airflow rushing inside. Also notable was the expansive interior, bottom-mounted power-supply unit, and oversized "Big Boy" 200mm fan placed at the top that allowed some massive cooling over the CPU socket area. We were able to take a look at the Nine Hundred ourselves and were pretty impressed overall, although we noted there were a few things that could have used some improving.

Sure you have to buy a power supply, and I know they want to pass that off as a "feature" (lol, marketing people are funny), but at $60, I sure couldn't find a nicer case for that price. It's well laid out, sturdy and light, with a lot of extras you wouldn't expect to find, even in cases much more expensive. I love how clean the case is, it doesn't try and hit you over the head with blue LED's or flimsy plastic parts that are hot glued on.

With the 300, Antec has addressed one of the bigger complaints from its 900 case; cable management. With sleek looks and excellent cooling the 300 offers a lot of bang for a small amount of dough. Installation is trouble free and the 300 is far roomier than it actually looks.

Antec steps up to the plate to deliver a brand new case in the "Hundred" series. Betting on the success of the excellent Nine Hundred, Antec has released a lower end model dubbed, the Three Hundred. Known as the " Versatile Case," will the new case stand out from its bigger, badder brother? Probably not, but it is at a better price point that its sibling.
