The ZM-NC1000 is a very well built piece of notebook cooling hardware. But what it gains in performance, it loses in bulk and weight. If you are in the market for a cooling option for the road, then just keep on searching. This big boy weighs in at over 2.5lbs an when you add that kind of weight to an already loaded laptop bag, then expect a chore when you are lugging this around an airport. Add in the rather stiff price, and Zalman is really painted themselves in a premium niche corner.
