We have previously seen the excellent overclocked version of the GeForce 7900 GS from Leadtek. Now, Leadtek aims to translate that winning formula to the more powerful GeForce 7950 GT, further enhancing its performance. Would the same approach work twice?

As we have said before, GeForce 7900 GS is an incredibly good prospect at this moment in time and Leadtek's PX7900 GS TDH is no different to any other on the outside. However, we commend Leadtek for stepping outside of the box and including the heavily discussed HDCP crypto-ROM chip. Not only that, but Leadtek has managed to keep its card at an attractive price point that will no doubt appeal to price-conscious enthusiasts that are looking for a good bargain.

Leadtek's WinFast PX7900 GS TDH Extreme is a great value. You get an overclock on the card out of the box and performance that compares to and beats a card that's almost $100 more. Pair up two of these boys and you should get some nice performance for $440. The bundle isn't anything to write home about and the card doesn't have any changes over a reference design but Leadtek has produced a very good solid card.

As for the Leadtek WinFast A7600 GT TDH, the open design of its cooler allows decent airflow over the core. Together with its relatively slow fan rotation speed, it is one of the quieter coolers for the GeForce 7600 GT. Unfortunately, this was not translated to the overclocking arena. There may probably be higher pre-overclocked GeForce 7600 GT cards in the market than the best that we attempted on the Leadtek but of course, the chances of finding such a version for the AGP bus is unlikely. As discussed in the review, the presence of the HSI bridge chip is probably one of the factors for the limited overclocking capability and the actual tolerance would probably vary from one batch to another. That aside, with a cool and quiet card operating at decent performance levels, these are probably the most important reasons why consumers would be interested in this product.

Leadtek have done it again in my opinion and released a top performing card. You cannot gripe at a overclocked card out of the factory at 490/1250 let alone the fact it clocks to a respectable 532/1330 which is impressive. Most of the games tested ran at 1600x1200 although 1280x1024 was my preferred choice, this was due to the fact everything could be turned up full on all games. Leadtek have done themselves no harm with this Extreme version of the TDH 7800GTX...

With the new GeForce 7300 GS graphics card, the budget conscious can also enjoy the benefits of the GeForce 7 series. However, would its relatively weak GPU be sufficient to handle today's games? Read on to find out how the Leadtek WinFast PX7300 GS TDH 256MB DDR2 fared in our labs...

Leadtek's GeForce 6800 GS implementation is a good one, and we're glad to see that they've included a good bundle and that little bit extra to set themselves apart from other board partners. We were impressed to find that the card performed closer to a GeForce 6800 Ultra than a GeForce 6800 GT and it was noticeably faster than any GeForce 6800 GS running at reference clock speeds...

Of course head-mounted displays like the Xeye are not really that new an idea. Other companies, most notably Olympus in recent times, have attempted to launch similar products to this without much success in the past and it looks, if the product ever reaches these shores (it's only available in the Far East right now), it could be much the same story with the Xeye. Though the Xeye is a good idea on paper, in practice neither the technology behind it nor the design work to create a particularly compelling product. Put bluntly this is not the next big breakthrough in personal cinema. If you want to watch movies on the move, you're better off with a laptop or a halfway decent portable player. You'll at least be able to enjoy the action without having to resort to a bottle of aspirin afterwards...

The Leadtek WinFast PX6600 GT TDH Extreme is one fine example. Overclocked by default to 550/1120MHz by Leadtek, it is indisputably one of the fastest GeForce 6600 GT cards out of the box. Although one may duplicate these speeds through normal overclocking on another GeForce 6600 GT, you know you will definitely get these speeds on the WinFast PX6600 GT TDH Extreme, or your money back. Surprisingly, we even found that the card could be pushed far further, all the way up to 580/1300MHz, making it one of the most overclockable GeForce 6600 GT cards to enter our labs...

The Leadtek WinFast PX7800 GTX TDH MyVIVO performed better than the reference card since its new BIOS pre-clocks the card to 450/1250. Consequently, it was an even warmer card than the reference units we had. So before you make a trip down to your favorite retailer, we highly recommend that you ensure your system has good system ventilation to handle the increased heat dissipation.

It's still the highest end GPU from nVidia with no less than 16 graphics pipelines, and six vertex shader engines. The GPU is clocked at 400MHz and the memory at 550MHz. Interestingly, Leadtek's AGP version of its card has the GPU clocked at 425MHz, but Leadtek has gone for standard settings for its PCI Express version. There's 256MB of DDR3 RAM, which communicates over a 256-bit memory bus, giving plenty of bandwidth for memory hogging features such as FSAA and AF.

Looking for a PCIe budget card which can potentially pack a hefty punch? Leadtek PX6200TD might just have what it takes. In this overclocking test we see how far we can push the card with stock cooling.
