Much has been spoken - and written - about the fact that Nokia's N95 has a GPS antenna built into it, but I've not read a great deal about this in serious use for door to door navigation. Having tried it, I am more pleased with it than I expected to be, though all is not entirely rosy.

The N95 is a slider, a format which can cater for quite small phones, but not in this case. One reason is that the phone has to house a fairly large screen measuring 2.6 inches corner to corner. Sadly, Nokia has not crammed in the pixels - you get a fairly standard 320 x 240 resolution.

Users will appreciate the fact that the new Nokia N93i sports a new look and a thinner profile but still has the impressive suite of data and imaging scope of the N93.

With the launch of the new E65, Nokia has finally recognized that business handsets need not always be conservatively designed - about time too for the world's number one mobile phone company.

Many technophobes will tend to keep more complex phones at arm's length fearing they might be too difficult to learn to use. And it is a fair point. Some phones will take you a little while to get to grips with, particularly if you've come to them from a very old or very basic model, or even no phone at all. For just this sort of person I've decided to take a look at Nokia's 1110i.

Nokia's N93 is the Swiss Army knife of cell phones, a teeming tenement of technologies. A 3.2 MP digital camera and a 30 frame per second (fps) camcorder are a combination available on no other phone besides the N93 (at least, not as this is being written). This phone also has camcorder-like ergonomics with a swivel-up-and-around 2.4-inch LCD screen, WiFi connectivity, an MP3 player with stereo Bluetooth, and lots of included multimedia software that turns the phone into a pocket PC. And as a tri-band EDGE/GSM 900/1800/1900 phone, the N93 is compatible with high-speed EDGE networks all over the world.

Nokia's E series of handsets is primarily aimed at business users. There are four phones in the range, but with its keyboard, wide screen and inevitable 'BlackBerry killer' branding, the E61 has stolen most of the publicity from the rest. The other three handsets have kept a relatively low profile, and none so much as the E60. This is undeserved, as the E60 packs in plenty of features, combining them with ease of use.

As the dominant mobile phone manufacturer in the world, what should Nokia do when Sony Ericsson released their Walkman-series of music-playing phones? Strike back, of course! Their new Nokia 5300 XpressMusic mobile phone is aimed squarely at challenging the SE Walkmans. Will they succeed? Or will they fall flat in the face? Let's find out!

For good or bad, the need to stay in touch with business colleagues and customers has never been greater. The smallest (113x44x16mm, 104g) of Nokia's E-Series, the silver-and-black E50 is a business device for mobile professionals looking for relatively robust business-class voice communication and e-mail capabilities. It's not without its limitations and shortcomings, but it should certainly be considered.

Riyad and I are both suckers for kit designed with athletes in mind. Neither of us breaks any records with our sporting endeavours, but we are both keen and, being geeky and proud, we both like to track progress (or lack of it) using different bits of technology. We were both intrigued by the Nokia 5500 Sport because of its claims to assist with monitoring and recording sporting activity.

The last time I looked at a clamshell handset from Nokia I was not exactly bowled over by the design. The N71 was just too big and cumbersome for me. But this week I have decided to try another clamshell from Nokia, the 6131. This was sent to me by T-Mobile, keen to publicise the fact that its web'n'walk service has recently become available on some pay as go you go handsets.
