"V-Moda, if you're not familiar with them, is a Hollywood, CA based company that is in the business of merging style, fashion and sound technology into super-hip products they think we will be proud to wear. Sound familiar? It should because the "street-style" approach to making headphones has caught on in a big way. Do a quick search on "stylish headphones" and you're likely to see a lot of new names replacing industry heavyweights like Sennheiser, Grado and Audio-Technica. A generation of iPod listeners has moved passed the honeymoon period with their portable players. Now that just about everyone has an iPod or music phone, they demand accessories that are as much about making a style statement as they are about making sound. Here, we review the Crossfade LP headphones that V-Moda dubs "audio art". We test them to see how they hold up to the audio portion of that designation."

V-MODA's Vibe in-ear-monitors are for the style conscious earphone buyer. Their all aluminum body and fashionable woven cable makes them stand out from the crowd. But can they even begin to compete with more performance minded in-ear-monitors.

There's no doubt that spending a little on a pair of after market headphones will realise a lot in terms of improved sound quality, and these headphones from v-moda prove that you don't necessarily have to spend big bucks. They won't suit anyone for whom balance and clarity is a priority and there are headphones for not much more that are better for classical and acoustic music. But for electronic music and dance with a lot of bass they knock anything I've heard into a cocked hat for the money.

Overall, V-Moda does an excellent job with this headset adapting the finest qualities of their high-quality Vibe earphones into this twin Vibe Duo headset. They have also integrated a very capable microphone with passive noise cancelation for telephony use. Anyone with an Apple iPhone who is trying to enjoy the best sound possible would really do themselves a favor by grabbing up a set of these high-quality and extremely comfortable headphones. We can only hope to see more "all-in-one" mobile devices like the iPhone so that more users can take advantage of these great dual-purpose headphones...

The V-MODA VIBE Red Roxx headset is one of the best headsets we have used - and certainly the best we have reviewed. The frequency response and sound quality coming from these very light headsets is downright freaky. There will be many who wont appreciate the amount of bass and crisp highs that this headset produces from high quality sources, but those users will probably not know what an iPod or Zune is to begin with. Once you get the headsets fitted properly, you will truly be able to enjoy incredible sound in your own world...
