The 7300GT is a value card, and as such shouldn't be compared to the high-end in terms of performance. Where the 7300GT shines is in its feature set, fully the equal in terms of Shader Model functionality as the bigger and more expensive cards. Performance is on the low end of the spectrum as to be expected from a card that costs $130 retail. The 7300GT 512MB from EVGA is a decent card. If you?re looking for a card that plays games, doesn't cost a whole lot, and has all the features the bigger brothers have, this is the one for you.

With the announcement of the AMD-ATI merger, the video card market is in a state of flux. The 7600GS is a good mainstream card, available on Newegg for $129.99 after a $20 mail-in rebate. For this price, you get 512MB of memory; double that of other cards on the mainstream market. This will help with anti-aliasing enabled and in applications like Maya that requires more memory.

This board is Socket 939, which has recently been replaced by Socket AM2. It might seem a little pointless to be considering this, but if you have a Socket 939 chip already on an AGP motherboard, then a PCI Express motherboard would be a good upgrade to increase gaming performance, and wouldn't involve throwing the rest of your system away.

The good points of the EVGA 7800GS KO ACS3 Edition Superclocked video card include SM3.0 support, the fastest performance for an AGP card in its class and support for HDR.. There are still a lot of systems out there with an AGP slot, and the 7800GS is the perfect card for that market. For the Athlon 64 user that has an AGP system the 7800GS is an excellent upgrade and one that is sure to satisfy...

The reference 7800GTX 256Mb from nVidia comes with 430Mhz GPU and 1.2Ghz memory clock. EVGA's 7800GTX KO version has 490Mhz GPU and 1.3Ghz memory clocks; nVidia's 7800GTX 512Mb does better with 550mhz GPU and 1.7ghz memory, the KO version of EVGA sits in the middle GPU clock wise. Read on...

EVGA's BlackPearl is an interesting proposition. While it costs a an absolute fortune, performance levels scale with clocks when pushed and the performance is delivered in comparative silence. The fan for the radiator is what makes the noise and it's absolutely quieter than any aircooled GTX, 512 or otherwise, that I've heard...
