Well, today we will bring to you the fourth Asrock motherboard to be reviewed here. The Conroe945G-DVI offers a world of options and features for a good dollar value. Boasting a DVI add-on card and support for the market leading processor, the Intel Core2 Duo, this board is poised to be the ultimate HTPC/SFF motherboard out there today. Based on the Intel 945G chipset, the Conroe945G runs colder then the newer 965 and 975 chipsets. And if extreme graphics is not needed, the GMA950 integrated graphics ported through the DVI card will bring great visuals to your monitor or television set. If this isn't enough please take into account that the board supports PCI-e graphic cards, SATA II and high definition sound. So, all the bases are covered, let's get into the details of this board.

The ASRock ConRoe945G-DVI is a very affordable budget board for the Intel market that provides a very good feature set for around US $75. The performance of the board in the majority of the synthetic and game benchmarks was very good if not class leading at times. This is quite a feat for ASRock as our 945P board did not perform as well in previous testing. The stability of the board was excellent in all areas of testing and general usage with the proper memory settings. However, we were frustrated during overclocking with the limited memory voltage options as well as the lack of CPU core voltage settings. With that said, let's move on to our initial performance opinions regarding this board.
