Seagate has pushed the capacity of their desktop drives even further with the release of the Barracuda 7200.9 SATA hard drive. That's half a terabye of storage space in a single drive! It also comes with twice as much buffer memory as the Barracuda 7200.8 hard drive. Of course, that's only available for drive capacities of 300GB, 400GB and 500GB. The increased buffer memory will definitely increase its performance, but we will have to see just how much when we test the drive...
