"A number of years ago Creative was well known in several markets including graphics and sound cards. As time has progressed the company has evolved their product catalogue into areas which made commercial sense such as webcams and pocket video cameras and moved away from the graphics business. Their core products have continued to be audio related, whether it be portable media players, soundcards or headphone and recently they released some World of Warcraft branded headsets.
