The Thermaltake PurePower ATX 12V 2.0 TWV 500W is a dynamite power supply unit. The power is steady, clean with minimal spikes and ripple. The fluctuation is kept to a minimum thanks to Thermaltake's customer switching buffers that allow a smooth transition from varying degrees of amperage needed to allocate clean efficient energy to your peripherals. The Thermaltake PurePower has a single 120 mm fan stuffed inside the PSU. This design puts the fan on the bottom of the PSU giving enough airflow to properly cool the MOFETS via the honeycomb ventilation system...

Thermaltake has done a good job with their first entry into the modular power supply market. The TWV 500W sells for around $130US, putting it at the high end of the spectrum, price wise. The inclusion of a case fan and the TWV module offsets the high price somewhat, if the prospective buyer finds these features desirable. Many online retailers have this unit in stock and ready to ship. The short U-bracket design of the TWV module may be an issue in some cases with tool free drive configurations...
