Today we got a chance to check out the second of three Cooler Master CPU Coolers, the Sphere. Spherical in shape the Sphere includes a blue LED vortex fan which cools the entire set of copper fins. This CPU cooler is almost entirely composed of copper and only has four heatpipes and still cools pretty good. Spinning at a maximum of 2200RPM the Sphere outputs only about 22dBA of noise, this is uncommon for typical fans. Let's see what else the Sphere has to offer...

The Cooler Master Sphere is unlike any other heatsink you have seen before. By placing a squirrel cage fan directly in the middle of a baseball sized copper ball made of cooling fins, Cooler Master has increased the thermal dissipation area while reducing the overall size of the cooler. The look of the Sphere is top notch, but we are here to evaluate a product on more than looks alone. Now, let us see how the Sphere performs and find out if there is even more than meets the eye with Cooler Master's new heat sink.

The Sphere is an all-copper, quad heatpipe and fin CPU cooler shaped like, you guessed it, a ball. It comes with a single-speed radial fan built in, instead of the typical axial fan you find on most CPU coolers. The radial output of the fan helps to cool other components in the immediate vicinity of the CPU socket. This combination of round-shaped fins and radial output fan put the sphere into a fairly unique class of cooler?
