Samsung is known for producing some of the most gorgeous LCD monitors this world has ever seen. Walk into just about any home theater that has been equipped with a larger Samsung LCD television and you'll be blown away by the vibrant colors, the crystal-clear resolution, and the crispness of the contrast. The same can be said about the LCD monitors that the company puts out for computers and one of the latest in the long line of monitors is the Samsung SyncMaster 2232GW.

During the last few months of using this monitor, it has truly been a luxury - 22 inches of viewing area, brilliantly vibrant color and ultra crisp images, what is there not to love? Answer, not much besides the limited tilt capabilities, the SyncMaster 2232GW is a solid monitor. Overall, the SyncMaster 2232GW is a beautifully designed monitor which is capable of delivering top notch graphics and all at a reasonable price.

Mid-range displays keep on getting better and Samsung's 2232GW is a great example of that. At 22", it offers a 1680x1050 resolution, 2ms response and a 3000:1 contrast ratio and one of the sharpest images we've seen in a while.

For the Syncmaster 2232GW being reviewed today, Samsung took their main 22" LCD panel it already had in stock, covered the normally dull panel screen with glossy covering called MagicClear to enhance picture clarity and contrast and encased it all in a stylish glossy black case. This monitor is marketed to be more than just an excellent LCD monitor, it is also being pushed to be a designer addition to your home or office desktop.
