Samsung's Syncmaster 275T LCD/TFT display is a 27" wide screen (16:10 aspect ratio) monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The LCD panel has an anti-reflective non-glossy coating and features a brightness rating of 500 cd/m2, contrast ratio of 1000:1 (dynamic contrast of 3000:1). The LCD panel boasts a 6ms G-to-G pixel refresh time and a moderately tight pixel pitch of 0.303mm. In our experience, brightness and contrast ratio take a back seat to viewing angles, and in the Syncmaster 275T's case it has the best you can hope for - 178/178 horizontal/vertical.

Looking for a 27" LCD? Your choices are essentially between two models, Dell's 2707WFP and Samsung's 275T. We took a look at the Dell a few weeks ago, but are now putting the 275T to the test to see how it held up in comparison.

Some people say big may not be necessarily better. I guess they haven't had the luxury of working with a 27" LCD monitor. In this case, big has definitely been a huge plus in my book. Samsung once again brings a smile to my face and makes friends envious of the toys I get to play with.

Buying an extremely large LCD monitor may seem to be an easy decision if you have the money, but gamers need not apply. This monitor is made for publishers, video editing professionals, movie enthusiasts or anyone needing a literal field of workspace to enable them to be as productive as possible. I know that after this monitor is returned to Samsung I will be purchasing one in short order. This monitor is one of those peripherals that once you have used it and gotten used to it, it is next to impossible to go back to anything smaller.
