It's time to take a look at a 1200W PSU from Thermaltake, we are going to look at their biggest PSU from the Toughpower series. This PSU has four 12V rails from 20A and up so there is alot of power to be used, the question is how stable all the rails are and how loud this thing actually will be? I can only imagine how hot this thing actually will be after awhile of gaming or using the computer at load.

Out of all of the 1000W+ power supplies that we have checked out there was one that stood out among all of the rest, the Thermaltake ToughPower 1000W Modular Power Supply. Today we have its big brother the ToughPower 1200W. It is basically the same power supply just beefed up with 200W more power. We will see if the extra 200W affects the performance of the ToughPower or if it will be flawless just like the 1000W. Read on to find out.

The Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W is a massive power supply that can deliver power to any system you could build or dream of. With a total of 99 amps (!) on four 12V rails it easily exceeds any specifications and should be a good choice for a high-performance system with multiple video cards.

It's difficult to justify the need for a 1200W power supply unit, since every appliance in my entire house would need to be combined just to consume this much electricity. However, if you are trying to build a better Death Star, or just simply trying to play Star Wars on your super-computer, the future of high-output PSU's is here. Channel Well Technology designed the Toughpower W0133RU 1200W power supply for Thermaltake, and it provides enough juice to sustain a small village, but Benchmark Reviews will test voltage regulation and power ripple before we give our praise.

Thermaltake has long been known for their ability to cool a computer system and for making quality enclosures, but they have recently been making a name for themselves as a premier power supply manufacturer as well. With the growing needs of modern enthusiast level rigs, power has become a concern, so the folks at Thermaltake have put together a monster of a PSU for your high power needs. Introducing the W0133RU Toughpower 1200-watt power supply. While big numbers are impressive, we will take a look at the features included with this behemoth and see if it has not only the power we need in our monster machine, but the features to allow us to be the king of the hill.
