be quiet! Power Zone 2 1200W
2. Retail Package
The product comes with CB, CE, cTUVus, CU, FCC, TÜV, UKCA certifications and OTP (over-temperature protection), OCP (over-current protection), OPP (over-power protection), SCP (short circuit protection), OVP (over-voltage protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection), SIP (Surge & Inrush Protection) features, and includes Energy Star 8.0, ErP, WEEE, RoHS, and Triman Environmental directives.
The retail package of the Power Zone 2 1200watt follows the usual design of power supplies from be quiet! All be quiet! power supplies come with 10 10-year warranty, and the 1200-watt variant can be found at €230, placing it in the middle of the market of 1200-watt power supplies. There are many more expensive models, and others are slightly cheaper.

After removing the top cover, we can see the interior of the big box. On top, there is a printed manual in 10 languages (DE, EN, ES, FR, PL, RU, TW, CN, JP, KC), while the main product is inside a plastic bubble bag, protecting it during transportation, and in the side area, you will find included cables and screws.

The PSU dimensions are (without cables) 160 x 150 x 86 (L x W x D), (mm), and its weight is 1.88 kg, making it easy to install even in medium-sized PC cases. The build material has a matte grey-dark finish that is pleasant to the eye and the hand, while there are no sharp edges.

The used fan at the Power Zone 2 comes from be quiet! (Pure Wings 3) and according to the specifications, it has a 140mm size, Rifle bearing technology, and a 4-pole fan motor. Its maximum speed is 2100rpm, and at 100% running speed, the produced sound pressure (noise) is 25.5dB(A).
According to be quiet!, when the system is under low load, the fan turns off completely until its services are needed again for more demanding operations. This post-ventilation requires a short cooldown period of 2-5 minutes to avoid frequent and annoying starts and stops of the fan. Combined with the large fan for active cooling, this power supply is exceptionally silent in all load scenarios

The back of the PSU includes a hexagonal design to help transfer the produced internal heat from the PSU.

The Power Zone 2 is certified with 80 PLUS Platinum and Cybenetics Platinum for an energy efficiency rating of up to 94.3%. This provides lots of benefits for a high-end system, including less power consumption and an overall cooler and quieter operation.
| 80 PLUS certification / Cybenetics | Platinum |
| Efficiency (%) at 230V, 2% load | 63.3 |
| Efficiency (%) at 230V, 10% load | 89.8 |
| Efficiency (%) at 230V, 20% load | 93.2 |
| Efficiency (%) at 230V, 50% load | 94.3 |
| Efficiency (%) at 230V, 100% load | 92.7 |
Power Zone 2 is an ATX 3.1 PSU and comes with native integration of one 12V-2x6 connector (Power Zone 2 1000W/850W/750W) or two 12V-2x6 connectors (Power Zone 2 1200W) for next-generation PCIe 5.1 graphics cards, as well as three PCIe 6+2-pin connectors for current-gen GPUs.

The two 12V-2x6 connectors of Power Zone 2 1200W offer excellent flexibility for future GPU generations that may require dual connectors and ensure the system remains well-prepared for demanding configurations. A 90° angled 12V-2x6 connector included in the scope of delivery leaves no doubt that this PSU is built for longevity. All of this makes Power Zone 2 extremely versatile and the perfect choice for powerful systems of today and the ones to come.

The main connectors of the PSU are displayed below

The PSU is designed with modular cables in mind and has two types: a sleeved cable (20+4pin) and the rest are flat. The maximum cable length is 100cm (SATA+PATA cables), while the 20+4 motherboard cable is 60cm, which should be enough even for big-sized cases. We would like to have a slightly longer distance between SATA and PATA cables of 200mm.
Included, you will find 9 high-quality cables:

- 1x ATX-Motherboard (20+4-pin)
- 1x P4+4 (CPU)
- 1x P8 (CPU)
- 2x 600watt 12VHPWR cables
- 3x PCI-e 6+2-pin (GPU)
- 7x SATA
- 1x PATA
The output total 1200W comes from a single 12V rail, which according to to be quiet! should cover you even in high loads and scenarios, like using the latest Intel/AMD processors with the Nvidia RTX series and AMD RX series. The specifications indicate max values as follows:
| 12V single rail operation | ✓ |
| +3.3V (A) | 20 |
| +5V (A) | 20 |
| +12V1 (A) | 100 |
| -12V (A) | 0.3 |
| +5Vsb (A) | 3 |
| Max. combined power 12V (W) | 1200 |
| Max. combined power 12V-2x6 (W) | 600 |
| Max. combined power 3.3V + 5V (W) | 120 |
| Hold-up time at 100% load (ms) | 20.42 |
| Hold-up time at 80% load (ms) | 26.22 |
| Power good signal (ms) | 100 - 150 |

be quiet! offers an online psu calculator, which can help you estimate which power supply you want for your system. Selecting the components you will place in your system will give you an idea of what kind of wattage you should select to be covered in all cases.
