Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Appear on FCC Filing
A Federal Communications Commission filing hints that Samsung's successor to the company’s wireless Gear IconX earbuds are close to release.
Last year, Samsung trademarked the name "Galaxy Buds," and instantly fueled rumors of new wireless earbuds.
The FCC filing includes the typical information of the Bluetooth headset such as the FCC ID, SMR170L, which is often associated with the product model, but they can also be random. It also includes an illustration of the bottom of a charging case.
Galaxy Buds are also rumored to have storage onboard storage and improved battery life over previous models. A certification from Bluetooth SIG has also confirmed that the new headphones will feature Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.
Samsung is hosting a Galaxy S10 event in a few weeks, so it’s likely we’ll get a more official announcement soon.
