XPG, the gaming brand of ADATA Technology, announced the launch of the new CORE REACTOR III Gold Fully Modular Power Supply. Building on the strong market reputation of the best-selling CORE REACTOR series, the third-generation model is designed to address the growing power demands of high-performance computing, AI applications, and next-generation gaming platforms. Following the technology showcase at COMPUTEX earlier this year, CORE REACTOR III becomes the first commercially available XPG power supply to feature XTREME Power Guard technology, combining 24/7 current monitoring, real-time abnormality alerts, and active power shutoff protection. It also supports ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, up to 235% power excursion, and 80 PLUS Gold certification, providing enhanced power safety and stability for next-generation high-performance systems.

CORE REACTOR III Evolves for Next-Generation Platforms
From AAA gaming and 4K content creation to generative AI, 3D rendering, and GPU-accelerated computing, today’s high-end PCs place greater and more dynamic power demands on graphics cards and processors. For gamers and creators, a power supply must provide sufficient wattage while also handling transient loads, maintaining stability during extended operation, and protecting high-value components. As one of XPG’s best-selling power supply product lines, CORE REACTOR now enters its third generation with enhanced GPU power protection while preserving the stability and performance the series is known for. CORE REACTOR III is available in 750W, 850W, and 1000W models for a wide range of high-performance system configurations.

Enhancing Power Reliability Under High-Load Operation
CORE REACTOR III features XTREME Power Guard technology, which continuously monitors current through the 12V-2x6 connector. When current imbalance is detected, the Power Guard LED flashes orange as an alert. If an overcurrent condition is detected, meaning the current exceeds the safe operating range, the LED flashes red and the system can automatically shut off power through the 12V-2x6 connector, helping reduce the risk of connector overheating, melting, or burning. A highly visible colored connector also helps users verify that the power cable is fully and securely inserted. Together, these features elevate power protection from conventional passive safeguards to a system that can actively monitor, alert, and intervene when abnormal conditions occur.

Full ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 Support
CORE REACTOR III supports Intel ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards and includes a 12V-2x6 connector capable of delivering up to 600W. It can also withstand power excursions of up to 235% of its rated output for 100 microseconds, improving its ability to handle sudden load changes from high-performance hardware. The entire series is 80 PLUS Gold certified and incorporates main Japanese 105°C-rated capacitors and a 135mm FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) fan. Combined with a fully modular cable design, eight industrial-grade protection mechanisms, and a 10-year limited warranty, CORE REACTOR III delivers a balanced combination of performance, durability, and protection for high-end gaming, content creation, and computing platforms.
