Sapphire Claims the Fastest Graphics Card on the Planet
Sapphire Technology has just introduced a new TOXIC water cooled version of its X1950XTX and a Limited Edition TOXIC CrossFire card.
The new SAPPHIRE TOXIC X1950XTX is the new top performing graphics accelerator from Sapphire. The card ships with the A.P.E. - Automatic Performance Enhancer - which uplifts the core clock speed to 695MHz. The efficient cooling system also will allow enthusiasts to further enhance performance by overclocking with other tools. Together with the Limited Edition TOXIC CrossFire Edition, which has the same core and memory speeds, the ability to run overclocked dual GPU configurations offers previously unachievable CrossFire performance.
Taking up a single PCI slot in addition to the PCI-Express slot occupied by the graphics card, the TOXIC cooler is a sealed and low noise water cooling solution. Maximum efficiency is achieved by the use of a Pure Copper Water Block on the GPU for efficient heat conductivity together with a Pure Copper Radiator in the TOXIC cooler for great heat dissipation. Coolant is circulated with a quiet 12V mini pump. Air is extracted from the case by an integral low noise transparent blue LED fan, passed through the radiator and vented out of the case at the rear mounting bracket. Two fan speeds give a choice of quieter operation or higher efficiency. (18dBA at 2000RPM, 26dBA at 2500RPM).
Features of the X1950 series architecture include 48 pixel shader processors, 16 pixel processor pipelines and 8 vertex shader processors together with a 512-bit ring-bus based internal memory controller together delivering DirectX 9 Shader Model 3.0 compatibility.
Image quality is ensured, with 64-bit floating point High Dynamic Range rendering (HDR), blending capability and a new higher quality anisotropic filtering (AF) combined with up to 12x Anti-Aliasing (AA) when used in CrossFire mode. Two DVI outputs are provided on the XTX model and Dual-link DVI is supported with resolutions up to 2650 x 1600. The architecture also supports Avivo delivering high fidelity images and video playback to the latest High definition video standards and it is also HDCP ready.
