Silicon Power to Showcase Storage Solutions for AI and Edge Computing at Embedded World 2024

Silicon Power to Showcase Storage Solutions for AI and Edge Computing at Embedded World 2024

Enterprise & IT Mar 28,2024 0

Silicon Power (SP) is excited to announce its participation at Embedded World from April 9-11 in Nuremburg, Germany. The company will be located at Booth 1-453 in Hall 1 to present embedded solutions for edge computing devices in medical healthcare, automotive, digital entertainment, and automated manufacturing. They will also introduce two new SSDs: the MEC3M0R (M.2 2280) and the MEA3M0E (M.2 2242).

Built for the Edge: MEC3M0R and MEA3M0E
The MEC3M0R and MEA3M0E represent a leap forward in SSD performance, reliability, and protection. Boasting impressive random read/write speeds, the MEC3M0R delivers up to 845K read IOPS and 644K write IOPS, while the MEA3M0E offers up to 858K read IOPS and 609K write IOPS.[1] With endurance levels of up to 3,000 P/E cycles and wide temperature operation from -40°C to 85°C, these SSDs ensure exceptional durability in harsh and demanding environments. Additionally, they feature robust data protection mechanisms, including ECC (Error Correction Code) and AES 256-bit data encryption to safeguard critical data, a necessity for edge computing devices. The MEC3M0R offers even further safety measures with PFP (Power Failure Protection) and is available in large capacities up to 2TB.

2-in-1 Combo SSD: CSD3K0E
The CSD3K0E is a versatile storage solution created to meet the miniaturized design trend in industrial PC (IPC) systems. It combines an M.2 SATA SSD and microSD into a single 2.5" SSD interface, generating two separate spaces for system optimization. This gives users greater flexibility, such as being able to use the SSD portion for data storage and the microSD portion for read/write operations simultaneously. The combination also results in a compact design, which is critical for the often tight-on-space nature of edge computing devices. Utilizing the microSD slot, users can easily double their storage limit according to their needs. Notably, Silicon Power holds a patent for this unique form factor, underlining its commitment to innovation and pushing the boundaries of storage technology.

Extra Security with SP OPALBOX
All 3 of these products also support SP OPALBOX, a proprietary encryption software that ensures data security and provides peace of mind for sensitive data storage. It includes features to setup TCG OPAL and pre-boot authentication, as well as to enable SID/admin passwords or to reset the disk to factory default. The extra security functions provided by SP OPALBOX are indispensable for protecting edge computing devices from unauthorized tampering or theft.
