HTC to Unveil The M7 Flagship Phone Ahead Of MWC
HTC Corp. will launch its new flagship smartphone, the M7, in London and New York Feb. 19, according to invitations sent out to to press.
The new Android model will be released in both the United Kingdom and the United States at teh same time - a move that shows HTC's determination to make a comeback in both the U.S. and European markets.
Information and rumors about the new HTC M7 smartphone have been leaked over the Internet. It is expected to come with 4.7-inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It is also said to come with Android 4.2 and HTC's new Sense 5.0 UI.
HTC was ranked as the world's No. 4 smartphone vendor in 2012, with shipments of 32.6 million units and a 4.6 percent global market share, according to IDC's recently released figures. These numbers are significantly lower than those reported for 2011.

Samsung Electronics is also scheduled to unveil its new flagship device at a media event in Jakarta, Indonesia ahead of the MWC inauguration Feb. 25.
