Hard drive enclosures are becoming more and more popular as days progress. Why though? Because a lot of people today are on the move and need more storage than your average USB Flash Drive. The Antec MX-1 Actively Cooled Hard Drive Enclosure offers many features for the everyday user. Some features that we don't see a lot of on most other enclosures are an eSATA connection, on/off switch, the capability to stay cool, yet quiet at the same time.

The last case we reviewed from Antec was their model 900 and it has proved to be one of the most popular cases on the market thanks to the immense amount of space it offers. Today we are reviewing the new P-182, this case is designed to help eliminate the excessive noise that certain peripherals might generate within you case. Come on along as we take an in depth look at the Antec p-182.

It's a well-known fact that Antec produces some of the best cases on the market, and the P182 is a perfect example of that. We have here a case that looks great, packs a lot of smarts and is efficient, all at a price that's easy to swallow.

Improving on the already popular P180, the P182 should satisfy almost everyone's needs. The design is visually appealing and also very utilitarian. To set itself apart from competitors, the case has many refinements such as the silicone-grommeted hard drive cage and sound-absorbing panels. Also, with room for five 120mm fans, cooling should not be a problem at all. Special features include the water-cooling grommets and the fan control switches.

At Channel Expo I had the privilege of being stabbed with a case panel by their rep showing me their new P190 case. Building on the success of the P180 range, this case now has 2 140mm fans, 2 120mm fans and an Antec Big Boy 200mm fan slapped on the side. If the box is anything to go by, this case is big?

Antec, the makers of several user-centric cases, making the best use of space and always using tool-free designs. Today I have their current flag-ship model; the P182, which features noise-deadening panels and the first case I've seen with an optional spoiler.

The original P180 series joined the Performance One family in early 2005. Nearly two years to the anniversary, Antec has released the refined P182 Performance One ATX case. The name may be new, but the engineers borrowed heavily from the old P180 to create this improved design. Benchmark Reviews has compared both cases side by side, and we clearly define the innovative changes in the new Antec P182 Performance One ATX Case in this review.

This external hard drive enclosure from Antec promises a good balance between cooling and noise, with vibration damping installed inside; the hard drive can be accessed over USB 2.0 or eSATA and the MX-1 comes with the needed gear to get everything set up.

Antec is preparing its revenge starting from TP3-650. We're talking about a stable and silent unit, built without forgetting price nor power. TruePower Trio delivers 650W of true real&continued power for around 150?: in this area, it represents probably the best buy product. Maybe it doesn't care of its look, reminding old OEM Chinese products, and the cables are hard to move? however it's anything important: Quality is hidden inside the case and could be nice to see a modular version of this powerful PSU.

We see it all the time; a company puts out a product on the verge of greatness, but ultimately hampered by a few deal-breaking flaws. Such was the case (giggle) with Antec's P180, a quiet enclosure that suffered from a poor blueprint for cable management. They've heard your complaints, and the redesigned P182 attempts to be what the P180 should have all along. Can they pull it off, or should Antec have stuck to the drawing board just a bit longer?

Back in the end of July -05 we had a look at a more or less revolutionary computer enclosure from Antec's Performance One series; called the P180. It had some innovative features such as three layer sound dampening side doors with separated apartments for the Power Supply unit and the motherboard. We liked this case so when Antec contacted us about a new updated "Special Edition" version called the P182 SE (which only will be made in 5000 units), we couldn't resist having a look at it.

External HDD enclosures have always been just a box with a USB cord out the back. No regard was given to cooling, or very high speed access. But today I have the Antex Veris MX-1 enclosure with not only e-SATA support, but a large blower fan that circulates air around your HDD.

Anyone who has suffered the failure of a low-end power supply will tell you: not all power supply units are created equal. While every journalist has their own system for reviewing a power supply, my review will take a very detailed look at the Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU at every angle and submit the unit to battery of torture tests in order to ensure it will provide any computer system with stable power.

The Antec P182 is a truly magnificent case and there's very little not to love about it. Its design is cool and understated just like the much-loved original and the system functions near-silently thanks to a fastidious design, even when we deliberately try to hot things up under the hood.
