With the third iteration of its immensely popular Sonata line, Antec introduces a newly redesigned mid-ATX form factor enclosure. With an abundance of new features and technology, the Sonata III is primed to follow in its predecessor's footsteps of offering enthusiasts an affordable, yet feature rich enclosure. Can Antec's newest offering do justice to the venerable Sonata line, or will the Sonata III fall short? Let's put this enclosure through its paces and find out!

The recently released P190 will immediately take its' place at the top of the hill in the Antec stable. The P190 is an upscale version of the P180 series of cases that we at Pro-Clockers started reviewing many months ago. What the P190 brings to the table that the P180 did not is a set of two power supplies and a huge cooling fan. Is there more to this unit? Let's see if we can find out.

With all these 1000 million watt power supplies out there, 500 watts seems a little underrated. Well, it seems that at 500 watts, it also makes the Antec Phantom 500 under-appreciated as well. If you're all about the silent treatment, you'll want to check out this review.

The Antec MX-1 is part of the new Veris brand and features a very unique design. You get eSATA and USB 2.0 connectiviy inside a solid plastic & aluminum enclosure. It is a bit larger than most enclosures, but features a very effective cooling design to keep the temperature of the installed SATA drive down to a minimum.

The Antec Sonata III is continuing the line-up with new looks, interior layout and a very solid and highly efficient EarthWatts 500W power supply. All this for a mere $149 USD, so we take a real close look and fill it with some high end hardware to let you know how it holds up.

The Antec Fusion Media Center Case is definitely nothing like the early cases from Antec (back when "the average PC had less memory than today's cellphones"), and is quite different from many cases on the market today. This HTPC case has a refined style and high end features that have me anxious to dive into this review.

The power that is default to the case is also massive, just like the case. With 1200-watts to make use of and enough connectors to jump start three rigs besides your own, you should not ever have to fear about not having enough juice to get the job done. In the event that this just isn't enough power for you, the dual mounts for the power supplies will also allow you to install an industry standard PSU of your liking. Just make sure of length measurements before your purchase. Another feature that we have covered is the soundproofing material used in this case. This material is used on both side panels and is meant to help keep the noise from escaping to the outside world. While this isn't a totally silent enclosure, the amount of noise is certainly minimal when considering the amount of airflow being moved around. With fans on the LOW setting, I can barely hear them running. Even with all fans set to HIGH, the noise is far less than the noise made from the high-end graphics cards being sold today.

Eat or be eaten, that is one of the most well-known business phrases. With new external HDD enclosures from well known companies like Cooler Master, Thermaltake, and Enermax, it was only a matter of time before Antec stepped into the game. The MX-1 is Antec's first external hard drive enclosure, but is this first attempt poised to eat up the competition or fall victim to a late lunch?

Cases are one of the least frequently updated PC parts. You might get a new motherboard and CPU, more RAM and a bigger hard drive, but you stick those parts in the same old case. Even my own workstation - if you added up the age of all the parts in the PC (my parts have an average age of 10 months) they'd still be collectively younger than my case (six and a half years). But the time comes, and the bell tolls for these old cases. Once at the top of their game, they now are relegated to the cellar. Bigger fans and fancier features make the old cases look prehistoric. Features like cable routing, integrated rubber spacers for vibration abatement and rubber grommets for routing your liquid cooling tubes are all the rage these days.

Antec; the champion of the biggest cases I've seen. Today, instead of their usual approach of adding centimetres, I have their Sonata III which is a more standard sized chassis toted as silent. Perhaps even mulnaz?

Last summer, we reviewed Antec's P180 system case, discovering a bunch of issues that we got pretty vocal about. Fast forward to today and we now have the chance to find out if the second incarnation of the P18X series, the P182, is a better proposition.

Cost is also an obvious factor and with the Antec P190 costing around $355 in the US, or £230 in the UK it's also one of the most expensive cases we've had a look at in a long, long while. For this price we'd really expect something special though and, while the Antec P190 looks good on paper, it's let down by a number of the decisions that Antec made. Those reasons mean that it falls just short of the standard set by the awesome P182. Unless you're made of money and can afford to buy this rig and experiment with different heatsinks for a bit then the P182 is a much safer choice for most users, though there's no doubt that the P190 will appeal to some thanks to the bragging rights it carries with it.

The build quality is outstanding, the active cooling is both effective and quiet and the eSATA performance is excellent. Installation is very straightforward and easily accomplished due to the screw and latch design and the MX-1 has a great look with simple, elegant lines and the blue LED tucked away beneath the Antec logo on the front. USB 2.0 connectivity is also provided and cable lengths are generous.

The Antec P182 is the popular company's newest offering in its line of Performance One case designs. The new model sports a number of new features to accommodate water-cooling enthusiasts, as well as features for traditional cooling systems and a fancy, shiny body. The P182 is the successor to the widely reviewed and much liked P180. ThinkComputers delves into this case to see if it surpasses its predecessors.
