Intel's P35 chipset has already made a huge impact on the market, turning the Core 2 series of CPU into King of the PC platform. 1333MHz FSB, DDR3 memory and Crossfire already have it going strong. When X38 makes its debut, we will see Intel move into extreme performance with extreme memory, extreme turning and dual full-speed x16 PCI-Express lanes for Crossfire graphics, and hopefully SLI as well. Today we are looking at GIGABYTE's first DDR3 offering for the high-end market. Under the Dual Quad 6 series of boards, the P35T-DQ6 is designed to carry on from the P35-DQ6. The big difference? Let's have a look and find out.

Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R is top mainstream motherboard based on the latest Intel mainstream chipset, P35, supporting both DDR3 and DDR2 memories and having several extra features like eight SATA-300 ports (two of them can be converted into eSATA) and high-end components (solid aluminum capacitors, ferrite coils and better MOSFET transistors). Lets see the features and performance from this new Gigabyte release.

In terms of performance the Gigabyte GV-NX85T256H can handle DirectX 9.0 games at resolutions of 1024x768 pretty well. DirectX 10 titles like Call of Juarez and Lost Planet are a bit too much for it though. If you're a big time gamer you might be better served to save up a bit more to get something that's one or two classes higher. If you're just a casual gamer though the GV-NX85T256H should be sufficient. It's also perfectly suitable for running a Windows Vista PC, with all of the eye candy that operating system allows for menus, explorer windows and navigation.

This is a Hybrid tuner, which means that it can tune in both analogue and digital DVB-T TV programs. GIGABYTE also has a digital only version, the U7000, which is a physically smaller model. Both models are based on a Dibcom chipset and if this doesn't say anything to you, then what you should know is that this is one of the best DVB-T chipsets on the market for PC applications. It allows for the device that's it's based on to be used on the move, in fact it should work in speeds up to 100km/h (or a little over 60miles/h), so you could in reality use this in your car or onboard most trains which is connected to whatever mobile device you are using that includes a USB port and supported operating system (Windows XP and Vista - both 32-bit and 64-bit versions).

Building a silent PC or on the look-out for a quality mid-range graphics card offering? Gigabyte's 8600GTS includes the best of both worlds. In addition to including a passive cooler, a free copy of Supreme Commander can be found here also. Of course the important question is: Does the overall performance warrant your attention?

For AMD to succeed in the future, it needs to build a pedigree of inexpensive and fully featured chipsets that draw in users on a budget. After all, we all want to spend the absolute least for the most return, right? With that kind of mind set, a motherboard based on the AMD 690G that offers you good solid performance in WindowsXP or Vista, comes with a built in videocard, and even allows you to output HD movies to a big screen HDTV via one thin HDMI cable... all for under $100 bucks. That kind of feature set is hard to resist, and one of the reasons why the AMD 690G is so popular.

We have just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features, installation, and acoustic performance of Gigabyte?s affordably priced Triton 180 chassis. The Triton 180 offers a mostly tool free design, it can house up to 10 drives, and it includes two 12cm case fans with a washable intake dust filter. It?s definitely a great value for the money. Head on over to the site and check it out?

Gigabyte's V-Power VGA cooler is a great looking product with good cooling and is relatively easy to install. The materials, fit and finish are very good and the cooler is compact enough to be used in the vast majority of SLI/CrossFire systems. It's also very quiet, approaching complete silence when at its lowest fan speed setting.

Recently I had the opportunity to visit Gigabyte's US Headquarters, where I was given a tour of Gigabyte's new products, including their "Ultra Durable 2" Series of motherboards. Today, HL takes a look at Gigabyte's ultra-versatile GA-P35C-DS3R. Built around INTEL's P35 Bear Lake Chipset, the GA-P35C-DS3R is unique in that it's the first board we've covered that supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory.

Besides being the hybrid clone of the GA-P35-DS3R, Gigabyte's GA-P35C-DS3R is an amazing alternative for great overclocking with DDR3 support on the side offering overclockers the flexibility and freedom of memory configuration without compromise.

The Gigabyte P965-DS3 is arguably the very best 965-based overclocking platform available. Today were dusting off a Rev.1 board which has been replaced by the DS3 Rev 2.0 and 3.3 models. While the board is technically obsolete she's almost identical to her siblings and they even share many of the same BIOS versions. There are a large number of Rev 1.0 boards at the heart of many systems; this overclocking article is for them and anyone considering a Gigabyte P965-DS3.

A few months back we looked at the Gigabyte GeForce 8500GT 256MB graphics card, which was a factory-overclocked $100 graphics card from Gigabyte that came topped with a passively cooled copper heatsink. Today we are back with Gigabyte as we look at their step-up from the 8500GT, which is the 8600GT GV-NX86T256D.

Cases by Gigabyte aren't the most well-known, and their forte is generally motherboards. But today I have their Triton chassis, which features some interesting extras, such as water cooling grommets and tool-less driver mounting. Read below to see how it fared?

Gigabyte's Blue Eye GPU liquid cooling kit was relatively easy to install, posted up some great performance and looks pretty cool to boot. I added it to Gigabyte's Galaxy II liquid cooling kit, but it's designed to interface with just about any other system as well. Retailing for around $40 US, the Blue Eye won't give your wallet a black eye either.
