Although notebooks based on the AMD Turion 64 Mobile Technology are largely in the shadow of its Intel counterpart in 32-bit computing performance, they are much more affordable and offer respectable performance. The MSI M635 we are looking at today is one fine example...

MSI's version of the Radeon X1800 XL is a safe bet if you intend to get one soon. After all, for the MSI-RX1800XL-VT2D256E, it is similar to the reference design. The MSI touch is still there in the form of the D.O.T overclocking utility, which is useful for overclockers who need a holding hand. The manufacturer's warranty for the overclocking tool is also an excellent safety net. Our overclocking showed that the MSI Radeon X1800 XL had further allowance for up to 10%, meaning that maximum D.O.T should be possible, though that will naturally vary among individual cards...

With a HyperMemory version expected for the Radeon X1300 series, the MSI Radeon X1300 PRO is one of the better cards for the new low-end graphics segment. Overall, this is a promising start for ATI's new cards and we look forward to bringing you more in-depth coverage, including the high-end Radeon X1800 cards in the very near future...

In terms of performance the MSI NX7800GTX-VT2D256E videocard performed excellently, it was tied with the other GeForce 7800GTX videocards for top spot in every test. If you are into overclocking the NX7800GTX-VT2D256E did pretty well both with a single card and in SLI mode, mind you I hope you have good case cooling should you decide to overclock a GeForce 7800GTX videocard. If you have been itching to upgrade to the latest, look no further than MSI's NX7800GTX-VT2D256E videocards. It is priced competitively, incorporates a good bundle, and performs just as fast as the rest. What more could you ask for?!?

MSI has brought to market an interesting desktop alternative with the 915GM Speedster-FA4, which offers a full set of features in a small and quiet package...

An excellent motherboard built for pure gaming enjoyment. Don't expect a truckload of features though as the slimmed down MSI P4N SLI is designed for performance without the bulk, but since it also comes with a matching price reduction, who can argue?

While the chipset was announced a months ago, nForce4-SLI Intel Edition motherboards are just now hitting the market. MSI Computers new P4N Diamond looks well... like a real gem of a motherboard! Obviously based on the nForce4 SLI Intel Edition chipset, the motherboard supports Socket 775 800/1066 MHz FSB Pentium 4/XE, Pentium D and Celeron D processors as well as a maximum of 4GB of DDR2-667 memory...

The MSI K8N SLI is a new breed of budget nForce4 SLI motherboards that is freeing up the high-end spot to the soon to be released nForce4 SLI X16 chipset. Expect SLI goodness in a new no-frills package for the price of an nForce4 Ultra...

Like the other ATI Theatre 550 Pro-based card we looked at, the hardware functionality of the MSI Theatre 550 Pro is great. It's hard to imagine what more could be asked from a basic TV tuner. While it is missing high-end features like HDTV-compatibility and the ability or extras needed to tune in a purely digital signal, this card excels at everything else it does...

When configured in SLI mode, the MSI NX6800-TD128E shone. While using mid-range 6600GT cards in SLI provides buyers with great performance and value for money, these cards still cannot equal the high-end videocards in most benchmarks. Dual MSI NX6800-TD128Es often considerably exceeded the other videocards in our roundup, especially when overclocked. Where SLI really kicks in is at extreme resolutions and with AA/AF enabled. In our advanced tests, the dual cards absolutely tore up Doom3 with full-eye candy enabled. At one point the SLI setup was almost four times faster than a single MSI NX6800-TD128E!!!

The Mega865 Pro is a pretty good HTPC. It allows you to do most of the multimedia stuff like watching TV or DVDs and listening to CDs or FM without booting into Windows. At the same time you can use Windows and the bundled Intervideo Home Theatre to watch/listen all of these things. The performance numbers posted in the previous pages show that its no slouch at running games and applications either...

For a long time, if one wanted good mobility and performance, the Intel Centrino platform was the only way out. Now with AMD's Turion 64 Mobile Technology, you can have an equivalent alternative and it's 64-bit computing ready. Find out why the MSI S270 got our nod in this full review...

Like all of NVIDIA's manufacturing partners, MSI managed to seed retail stores with its GeForce 7800 GTX on the actual launch date. One consequence of this is that almost all the cards we have seen so far are strictly replicas of the reference design. The good thing is that consumers are assured of getting a card that performs exactly like the mostly positive reviews of the GeForce 7800 GTX that they have been seeing in the media. Whichever brand they choose makes almost no difference in terms of performance and even overclocking headroom for that mater.

Based on the Radeon X850 XT, this PCI Express card is backed by 256MB of GDDR3 memory and supports VIVO, TV/S-Video output and component output. The ATi X850 series of GPUs are the current 3D performance leaders and the XT is the second fastest available GPU in the line. As usual for MSI Computer, the software package is among the best on the market and includes full versions of XIII, Uru and Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. Other software includes FarStone's VirtualDrive and RestoreIT! software as well as CyberLink's DVD Solution software...

Before we go into the voltage overclocking that is the most innovative feature of the MSI NX6600GT Diamond, let us say that this is a very competent and capable GeForce 6600 GT. Compared to its peers, it is among the better performing cards that we have seen and the additional features like having a video decoder chip and dual DVI-I connectors place it way above its rivals in terms of functionality. MSI has set out to make their Diamond edition card worthy of its name and it has succeeded admirably in overloading the card with the best...
