With the TJ09 Silverstone is focusing on airflow to dissipate the heat of Dual/Quad core processors and especially high end VGA cards. Their design is classic elegant with functional and clean looks. This is a high end product made for high end systems, can it keep a Core 2 / Geforce 8800 GTX cool enough? We find out...

Overall though, I am very pleased with the SilverStone Element 500W (SCE). The voltage on all of the rails were extremely good, even in a heavily overclocked and power hungry system. There also seemed to be no degradation in voltage regulation throughout the 4 week load testing period. If you are running an m-ATX or HTPC system and would like to easily rid yourself of a cabling nightmare, definitely consider the SilverStone Element 500w (SCE). It is a unique idea and has been implemented very nicely by SilverStone.

The TJ07 has seven 5.25" drive bays, however, Silverstone does not bundle any bezels along with the chassis for hiding optical drives with different colored face plates. The black/white DVD drives we used certainly messed up the chassis' awesome look. Below the 5.25" bays, you find the front I/O connections hidden in a removable bay held shut by a small magnet. The front I/O connections comprise of four USB ports, one Firewire, and Audio in/out connectors. Below the I/O connections is the power button, reset button, power LED andHDD LED. The reset button is tiny and requires a pin to press. As an Overclocker, I would have preferred a normal reset button for quick & easy access to rebooting my system.

While SilverStone Technology is primarily known for their high-end selection of PC chassis enclosures and power supplies, last year SilverStone had introduced the Mobile Storage series. At that time we had reviewed the SilverStone Mobile MS02, which was a 2.5" mobile hard drive enclosure with a USB 2.0 interface. We had found this external 2.5" HDD enclosure to offer a great deal of features, while being encased inside a stylish aluminum housing. The latest series among SilverStone's storage products is the NAS series. SilverStone has introduced its first Network Attached Storage (NAS) device! The SilverStone NS311 supports both LAN and USB 2.0 connections and supports a single 3.5" IDE hard drive.

Silverstone Technology Ltd. is a relative newcomer to the PC-world having been founded in 2003. As a manufacturer of power supplies, CPU-coolers and enclosures they aggressively sought to compete with the very best in these product categories. Over the last year they have come into their own with the release of the well received Temjin TJ06 aluminum case and Zeus line of PSUs. Silverstone is now a relatively familiar name and we have the flagship of the Zeus series, the ST85ZF.

We used the Silverstone EB01 for about a week, listening to various genres of music, from blues, to electronic, to pop and reggae, and we can certainly say that this audio solution is so much better than any integrated solution, very clean and free from bottom noise. Aesthetically is very elegant, so it can be used, for example, also whit an HTPC in the sitting room. The price is around 60-70?, and makes consider other similar solutions with more functions.

Today we will take a step back from that and look at something from the Mini ITX cases and see if their chassis design team take their knowledge over to designing cases for one of the smallest platforms out there. Step up the LC09 a improvement over the much praised LC05 mini ITX case by adding a PCI slot and a slim DVD rom bay, the question is does it still live up to the Silverstone standard.

The SilverStone Temjin TJ09 is a beautiful chassis that offers a unique cooling design and can accommodate Extended ATX SSI motherboards. Simply put, the SilverStone Temjin TJ09 is the best ATX/EATX case we have seen in 2006 and SilverStone engineers certainly deserve props for this marvelous creation.

Water cooling has always been appealing to the HTPC crowd as it gave them a near silent cooling solution for their pride and joy. However, WC kits can often be ugly and bulky which means that internal kits are often the order of the day. Today I am testing the Silverstone Tundra TD01 which aims to provide an eye catching solution to silent cooling that will fit right in with your other living room electronics.

The word Silverstone is not only synonymous with the famous race track, but also with high quality cases and coolers. SilverStone create some of the most visually stunning products on the market and not only do they look good, but most of them perform beyond the expected. Today I'm testing the TJ06 case, lets see how it performs.

Equipped with a new generation of design and components, the Element ST40EF continues SilverStone's stride toward more efficient power supplies, with higher than 80% efficiency across all loading conditions.

The other piece of software that was installed was the Imedian software and the driver for the remote control. Installing the remote control was, again, simple all I had to do was pick my remote control out for a line up of a few different types and the software did the rest. It also went as far as setting it up so that winamp was controlled by it, which was great news as that is what I normally use.

The first thing you'll notice about the FM series fans is the color. SilverStone isn't the first manufacturer to use a particular color to set their product apart from the crowd; Noctua uses an understated red brick color against a white frame, Enermax opts for translucent blades and Thermaltake has used the same butt ugly orange for years. But the plain white of the SilverStone fans looks particularly classy. In a sea of translucent, multi-color, neon, UV, anodized bling bling, the pure white makes a definite statement. Whether the look will hold up under all the dust they will eventually collect remains to be seen, but fresh out of the box they look killer.

Looking back to the key marketing features Silverstone is presenting I'd say the results meet the marketing about half way. Certainly the case does have a clean, sophisticated appearance, and it does present many cooling options if you require them; however, given the depth of the case, the storage capacity could be severely hampered with the wrong mix of components, and you'll have a difficult time keeping this case quiet enough to be inaudible during quiet sections of movies or games if it's not stationed in a console or cabinet.

I think I can safely say that the SilverStone ST40EF passed that particular test with flying colours. No power rail deviated any amount really worth mentioning considering what the pc was doing. I don't know what the actual specs are for regulation on power rails but, personally, I think the 12v rail deviating only 0.18v from rated value, albeit 1.5%, whilst running a major graphics test and 2 instances of a torture test and copying a cd full of data really isn't worth worrying about in my opinion
