Sony has built on the good points of the TX Series but also taken some inspiration from the iconic X505VP and produced a truly stunning ultra-portable notebook. Sony has mastered the LED backlight technology and created the best notebook screen I've ever seen, while Intel's new dual-core ULV mobile chip is also a triumph for the ultra-portable notebook platform. It could do with more memory, but other than that Sony has pretty much hit the target in every area.

The DSC-W90 seems like a nice package with its 8.1MP CCD, 2.5-inch LCD, 3x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, HD output, and sub $300 price.

This free download for the PS3 gives gamers a sneak peak at what's to come with GT on the PS3, but is it worth the trouble?

With the Sony exclusivity tag now a thing of the past, Namco have their own previously released Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360 to show up with Ridge Racer 7, but can it even show up their older PS2 and PSP versions beyond graphics?

With the release of a new Sony console comes the inevitable Formula 1 game and Sony and Studio Liverpool have promised that this would be their best effort yet. With Formula 1 being the pinnacle of motorsport, it is one of the most technically challenging sports to turn into a virtual simulation but thus far on the PS2 Studio Liverpool have done well. However with the PS3 console, gamers would be expecting more and the developers have realised this adding a few new enhancements which makes F1 CE one of the best F1 games ever made.

I still haven't decided if this game is better than the first God of War or not. Though the more I play it, the more I seem to lean towards yes. New attack moves and weapons add to the diversity of a game with such a linear story mode. There are plenty of new ways to move throughout the levels, including an ability to stop time, provided the conditions are right.

Sony revolutionized the world of ultra-thin digicams with its very popular T series. Although Casio, Nikon, Kodak, Pentax and others try to match them, they always seem to fall a bit short. I've always loved the sliding front door that powers-up the camera. And although this design has been around for a few years, it's still as fresh as ever. The DSC-T100 is the latest edition and it has a number of new features we wanted to try out including higher 8.2MP resolution, a more powerful zoom, a better processor and Face Detection--the new setting almost all camera makers are touting in 2007. Now does all this add up to something special or just more of the same? Let's find out.

There's no denying that Sony is slightly late to the table with its next generation gaming console. With Nintendo launching it?s fun filled Wii at the beginning of December 2006 and Microsoft unveiling the Xbox 360 almost a year and a half ago, Sony has managed to gift no less than two Christmas periods to Microsoft and one to Nintendo. It's fair to say that the Wii was the big hit of the recent festive season, while the year before getting your paws on an Xbox 360 was nigh on impossible. But for the launch of the PlayStation 3 there's no Christmas buying frenzy to help it along, and with much of the gaming public already equipped with an X360 or a Wii, or even both, has the PlayStation 3 got what it takes to make an impact at this stage?

Right, it's here, Sony's much awaited PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 killer. The machine that everyone, according to that top Sony bod, should just work harder to own as it's a bit pricey. But price aside, what does Sony's new machine actually do? How does it hold up against the established Xbox 360? Does it really attract the girls better than a warehouse of Lynx?

At first glance the SRS-DZ10s look quite unusual; the tubular shaped subwoofer in particular being a unique component. As a set they are, however, undoubtedly stylish with an exceedingly smart brushed aluminium finish and satellites that are elegant in their simplicity. The unusual design of the sub is meant so you can place it horizontally or vertically on your desk, though why you'd want to do that rather than keep it under a desk is beyond me.

For what it's worth the C-series certainly achieves its basic goal: being distinctive. We've got quite a number of notebooks in the office at the moment, and when sat next to others the C2SL certainly cuts a striking figure. The combination of the coloured outer casing and the shiny silver VAIO logo are immediately inviting; making it a great notebook for wowing friends. Dare I say the wow starts now?

As befits its mid-range status, the W70 is a fairly unremarkable looking camera. It has a functional but not unattractive aluminium body with nice brushed finish and chrome trim, and the usual selection of external controls. Measuring 88.9 x 57.1 x 22.9mm it is slim and compact, and weighing in at 127g empty or 157g ready to shoot it is nice and light, but in neither case exceptionally so. Build quality is excellent, and although the aluminium body doesn't feel as solid as the steel shell of a Canon IXUS or Casio Exilim, it is still sturdy enough to be carried around in a coat pocket.

Sony's BWU-100A represents a significant leap in storage technology. The BWU-100A offers relatively mediocre Blu-ray recording performance, but it's really a tool for content authoring. It is suitable for high-end home-theatre systems, too, but the price will deter most movie buffs. Overall Sony has created a typically well-mannered product that covers all the bases - CD burning, DVD recording and Blu-ray movie playback, as well as Blu-ray disc recording. The downside? It's pricey (expect similar drives to cost half as much in a year or so) and there's still the pesky Blu-ray versus HD-DVD question, which may take several more years to iron out. For enthusiasts looking for Blu-ray playback on the PC, it's a good start.

Sony's 46S2010 is now available for just £1,389 - a price fall of nearly a grand, and one which makes the 46S2010 one of the cheapest 46in TVs ever. So if it can deliver the same sort of image quality witnessed on numerous other models in Sony's current Bravia range, it could just be one of the biggest LCD bargains ever. Fingers crossed?

The S705 WALKMAN player is definitely one of the prettiest music player to hit the shelves in recent time. Blessed with superlative noise canceling, it is all but ready to take your listening pleasure to the next level.
