"The Asus EeePC 900a is a great little netbook with one big flaw, it comes with a tiny little 4gb SSD drive that is very slow. Actually there?s two flaws, the second would be how Asus handled the updates of the operating system, they?re automatic and they fill that tiny SSD to the point where the system slows to a crawl. The OS that is on the SSD is ok for just messing around, but let?s face it, most everything is Windows and to be any kind of productive with the EeePC you?ll need to install Windows on it. This isn?t a Linux vs Windows or even vs Mac rant, so I don?t want to hear about it, this is a review of the Runcore 64gb SSD for the EeePC 900a that will turn that little netbook into not only a speed demon, but something that can be a more productive machine. ASRock is not well known in the enthusiast community as they often have niche motherboards based on esoteric chipsets with unique features found nowhere else. This board is the first board I?ve seen with the new SATA 6Gb/s interface and has good features and great performance, making it a solid choice for a Hot Product award. The board overclocked to 4.0GHz from the default 2.66GHz on the Core i5 750 CPU, making it a decent overclocker as well. You also get features like a 16 Phase Power Design and Intelligent Energy Saver in the mix making this a solid board.

When the LGA1156 Lynnfield Processor launched, we touched on the basics of the reference DP55KG Extreme Series Motherboard. At launch, it was the standard and the board to beat as we?ve reviewed other comparable P55 motherboards along the way. Essentially, if another platform can?t emulate, match, or improve upon its performance, we really aren?t interested.

Windows 7 is upon us, and with the launch of Microsoft's self-proclaimed "best operating system" comes a slew of new desktop machines, notebooks, and netbooks looking to take advantage of its added stability and features. One of the companies that is looking to serve up a number of new Win7-based rigs is Asus, and without a doubt they have assembled an interesting and compelling offering in their G51J-A1 notebook. Hitting the sweet spot between the average-sized 15" machine and the full-on desktop replacement, the refreshed G51 maintains the 15" form factor yet packs enough horsepower, with it's Core i7 mobile CPU and GeForce GTX 260M GPU under the hood, to plow through even the latest game titles.

"Back in August we reviewed the OCZ Agility SATA 2.0 SSD, which we found to be a reputable solid-state drive that offered nice performance under Linux. However, a step up from the Agility series is the Agility EX line. The OCZ Agility EX is designed to offer maximum performance with its SLC NAND-based storage and Indilinx controller. How though does the performance of this $400 SSD for just 60GB of storage compare to their other MLC-based SSDs under Linux? We have the benchmarks."

The Tritton AX 720 is an excellent headset for taking advantage of your PC, Mac, Xbox 360, or PlayStation 3 digital audio while having chat for multiplayer network gaming. While the headset is very versatile and comes with an adapter to allow you to use it in analog mode with any audio source and microphone input, if you don't have optical audio out you'll not get your money's worth our of the AX 720.

"ASUS has always been at the forefront when it comes to new technologies. Lynnfield is no exception. At Computex we were lucky enough to see just how well this new technology would work and from there the birth of the new Lynnfield processor and P55 chipset has already caused a stir in the hardware community. On show for you today we have the P7P55D Deluxe board aimed at the mainstream segment. Hitting the shelves at $219.99 USD over at Newegg, Nehalem architecture now becomes more affordable and with plenty of style to boot."

Cooler Master is by many considered to be the number one manufacturer of high end cases for gamers and overclockers. But not everyone needs all the extra features and details which you will find in Cooler Master?s high end cases. There are those who are just looking for a simple and cheap case to mount their system in. In order to cover the demand for those less sophisticated cases, Cooler Master has released the Elite 310. This case may not have all the clever details from the top line cases, but it do have a spectacular finishing and a structural sturdiness equal to the top the high end cases.

Not too long ago, I took my very first look at the Thermaltake Toughpower XT 850W unit and found it wanting. Thermaltake was anxious to improve on things, and so they did; as I found in my last review when I saw what the new and improved 750W Toughpower XT could do.

"The main focus of the Vapor-X series is cooling. With that said, though, it doesn't mean Sapphire can't have a bit of fun with the clock speeds. What we?ll do before we have a closer look at those clocks is check out what's going on in the bundle. After that we'll then take a closer look at the card and see the new cooler that Sapphire is giving us. If all that wasn't exciting enough, the HD 5870 Vapor-X from Sapphire is the first card that's going to be taken for a spin on our new benchmark setup. While the hardware hasn't changed due to the simple fact it's still some of the best on the market, we have moved to the new DirectX 11 enabled Windows 7 and also added a whole slew of new benchmarks including some new synthetic ones and real world games."

The In Win AMMO continues on the army based theme we have come to love with the Commander PSUs. The enclosure combines a sturdy shell with a soft interior and the added security of AES 128 bit encryption. We take a real close look an run it trough our barrage of tests to see if it comes out on top after the battle.

No stranger to the ubiquitous pointing device, Logitech boasts an impressive 20+ year history building mice and computer peripherals. Having surpassed the one billion mouse mark back in 2008, they are the undisputed leader in electronic rodent computer peripherals. New for 2009, the Logitech Anywhere MX wireless mouse combines wireless connectivity with unique "Darkfield" tracking technology for a mouse that is said to be able to track on pure glass and other highly reflective surfaces. Designed to be a fully-featured portable workhorse, the Anywhere MX also brings a rather unique scroll wheel to the party. How well does it all work in the cold, cruel world? Come to our glossy new labs to see if the Anywhere MX can track straight and true.

It's been a barren few months for NVIDIA as far as new retail GPUs are concerned. Since the introduction of the GeForce GTX 275 back in April, the graphics giant has had little else to shout about. With no concrete details on when we'll see NVIDIA's next-generation architecture, codenamed Fermi, enthusiasts have been treated instead to new high-end and mid-range DirectX 11 products from NVIDIA's familiar foe: AMD. But that isn't to say NVIDIA is sitting it out completely. Whilst enthusiasts may be left wanting, NVIDIA introduced a couple of new mainstream products just a few weeks ago. In a notably subdued launch, NVIDIA slipped out two desktop cards, the GeForce 210 and GeForce GT 220. Despite aiming at the low-end market, both cards mark a significant milestone for NVIDIA - they're the company's first 40nm GPUs to appear at retail, and the first to offer system builders full support for DirectX 10.1.

"The HD4890 iCooler x4 edition from HIS can be easily summed up as a performance bargain for US$179 at the time of this review. For those not interested in DX11 gaming and its related expensive videocards, the HD4890 is still a potent performer for the enthusiast gamer. The card tested today with its excellent heatpipe cooler and stellar overclocking performance should be considered over paying $50 more for a different name brand built off the same reference design."
