It's no secret that the Radeon HD 5870 is the fastest GPU on the planet, but what do you get when you take it, toss in a more robust cooler, quieter operation, higher clock speeds and not one, but two free games? You get the Vapor-X, from Sapphire. Despite all that it packs in above the reference version, it modestly carries just a $20 premium.

D?j? vu is a funny thing. At first you're not sure it's real; then you're absolutely convinced; finally, it fades and you're not sure anymore. The CM Storm Sniper, first shown to the public when Cooler Master launched the CM Storm brand in 2008, started out life with a full "Black Ops" paint job. Black on the outside, black on the inside and the first gaming case to feature three massive 200mm cooling fans, it was an instant hit. Somehow, the production version ended up without the black interior, but it was still a rousing success when Benchmark Reviews looked at it in January of this year. Its ten months later, coming up on the holiday season, and what better (and easier) way to kick it up a notch than to bring back the black: The CM Storm Sniper Black Edition SGC-6000-KKN1-GP.

"Tired of the same old boring gaming audio headgear? Looking for something unique to wear at your next LAN party? The guys over at Gameskulls may have just the thing you're looking for. It's the GS-1 Tactical Gaming Helmet, and it's definitely a whole lot different than any other gaming headset we've ever reviewed or even seen previously."

?The ability to stay connected to the net whilst on the move is becoming more and more popular with netbooks being the latest must-have gadget. With more power and quicker speeds combined with a decrease in product size, the need for efficient and effective cooling is an ever-greater necessity. One way to supply extra cooling potential is through a notebook cooler; the marketplace has been hit with a wave of these coolers released left, right and centre and all claiming to offer effective cooling. In reality though, many coolers just couldn?t hack it in terms of raw performance and just weren?t worth it. That said, added features such as USB hubs and such like have made some coolers a more tempting purchase. One such product that includes a hub to bolster its marketability is the Choiix Mini Air-Through Notebook Cooling Pad. Let?s take a look??

"Today for review I?ve got another product from our friends over at NZXT, it?s their new fan controller the Sentry 2. This isn?t just any fan controller though, it features a touch screen and it only takes up one 5.25? bay. Personally I like this product quite a bit, in my opinion it?s the best fan controller on the market today. It?s easy to use, it works well and it looks great."

"Today for review I?ve got the Vantec NexStar Universal Storage Adapter, it?s a long name but it can do quite a bit. This product will allow you to access both SATA and IDE 2.5? and 3.5? drives along with 5.25? SATA and IDE Optical drives and even 66 types of memory cards, so it does live up to it?s name of being a universal adapter. "

?Having a good gaming PC is more than just about having a good CPU, GPU or motherboard. Having the proper input peripherals is also key to your success on the gaming battlefield. With keyboards and mice seemingly becoming commodity products, with some prices in the single digit dollar amounts, this may not seem to be the case, but the increasing market for gaming-oriented peripherals has helped move along what otherwise would be a stagnant market. Specifically, the market for gaming mice has had a two-fold effect: Besides pushing along the development of new feature, gaming mice have also kept alive the wired mouse. While many have switched to wireless mice, it seems that the gamer audience is not yet convinced. OCZ has been in the market for gamer-oriented peripherals for some time now, and one of their latest products, the Eclipse Double-Laser Gaming Mouse, promises to push the envelope even further. Can it deliver? ?

" The PowerMat is one of the most talked-about gadgets to hit shelves this fall. A wireless charging mat, the general concept of the mat is simple: place your electronic device on the mat, and it will charge. It is, in effect, trying to invent wireless electricity."

"Xigmatek sends us another solution to just such a quest to improve the cooling of your precious graphics card. I?m not exactly certain how it all came about, but this cooler is one I believe I may have seen before, in some fashion. Xigmatek, however, added their own flair, special touches and changed little things. It is, in its purist form very similar to the SilenX cooler I looked at back in February. Hopefully things have changed since then. Today we are looking at the Bifrost VD1065 from Xigmatek. They have provided me with a dual fan cooling solution that I may, or may not have seen before. I need to get some pictures and get myself a closer look to see what the Bifrost can offer end users in the pursuit of a better cooling solution."

?As the price of home networking equipment falls, manufacturers are looking to include features which separate their product from the rest of the pack. Many routers include at least one USB port these days because of this. This USB port is generally used for either a printer or some kind of storage device, such as an external hard drive or flash drive. The ASUS RT-N13U is one such device. It unifies 802.11n wireless with a 10/100 switch and a lone USB port, which ASUS thinks your all-in-one printer would love. ThinkComputers reviews the ASUS RT-N13U wireless router"

"Securing your home and business can be a costly venture. Some spend thousands of dollars on closed-circuit cameras and expensive installation. Today we will be taking a look at a wireless night-vision camera that can be monitored from your PC or 3G phone at a cost of under two hundred dollars. Say hello to the Airlink101 SkyIPCam777W."

With the release of the ATI Radeon HD 5800 series of video cards, I?ve been slowly retiring the 4800 series cards I?ve been using in my test rig for the past 18 months. This changing of the seasons inspired me to build another new main rig that features all AMD hardware, including two video cards in Crossfire. Admittedly neither of the Radeon HD 4890 cards I have are a match in specs. You can mix and match cards if need be, but the vanilla 4890 and the quietly cooled 4890 I have in my possession are too far apart from each other to work suitably in such an arrangement.

For the target market of the AMD Socket AM3 CPU purchaser the ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO doesn?t get much better than this as the board looks good, performs great and has the features you would want from a motherboard with integrated graphics. The price point on the ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO is $99.99 on Newegg, making it competitive with the other 785 boards out there. You get the ASUS branding which is always worth something as they put a lot of quality parts and workmanship into their boards, and you get the features from ASUS including Turbo Key, EPU, Express Gate and more. Overall, this is a very good board for this platform from the folks at ASUS.

"We had high hopes for SATA 6GB/s before we starting benchmarking one of these new platforms, but other than having some nice burst benchmark screen shots we don't have really anything else to show you. Seagate was kind enough to send over the Seagate XT 2TB hard drive for benchmarking and while the drive is great the performance benefits of SATA 6GB/s don't seem like it will create a mad dash for new motherboards or drives anytime soon. The Seagate marketing slide that talked about SATA 6GB/s maturing over the next 2-3 years really starts to make sense now that we have seen the performance numbers."
