We hope you all had a good weekend. We're writing today to let you all know that we've just posted a new article at HotHardware in which we evaluate the features, performance, and overclockability of BFG's GeForce 8600 GTS OC2 with Thermo Intelligence cooling. The BFG GeForce 8600GT OC2 is a factory overclocked version of the GeForce 8600GTS, priced at approximately $229 - $249, and running at a 720MHz core and 1110MHz memory clocks. Head on over to the site and check it out...

BFG Tech who is best known for their overclocked NVIDIA cards which continue to carry a lifetime warranty have recently decided to mix it up in the cooling department. While they have offered full blown water block solutions for a while now, people who want something a a bit tamer than these without resorting to the stock cooler haven't had much luck. That is until now, the release of the ThermoIntelligence series form BFG Tech now means that you get something that is supposedly more effective than a stock cooler but still offers a compact single slot setup.

BFGTech's GeForce 8600 GTS OC ThermoIntelligence is a great example of a GeForce 8600 GTS and it delivers good performance for a gamer running a 17" or 19" LCD monitor in current titles. In isolation, it's a good card with a cooler that does exactly what it the manufacturer claims it will do, and then some based on our results.

The new BFG 8600 GTS OC2 arrived Technic3D. The BFG Overclocking Graphic Card with DirectX 10 and a "new Heatsink" better than other Graphic Cards on Windows Vista? Technic3D will see that in the following Review.

BFG is breaking away from using the stock NVIDIA reference cooling solution in favor of a custom solution with better performance. This new cooling solution allows for faster clock speeds on the new BFG 8600 GTS OC2 video card. In fact, this video card is the fastest 8600 GTS that I have tested. It's really nice to see BFG putting some effort into better cooling solutions that enable higher clock speeds without resorting to using heat sinks that take a single slot card and turn it into t dual slot card. BFG's heat sink did a great job of keeping the card cool no matter how long I used it.
