The 5710 Series cooler is the largest cooler that Glacialtech currently offers and the only difference in the two samples we have today are the fans. One utilizes a silent fan rated at 1600 RPM while the other utilizes a PWM fan rated at 800 - 2600 RPM.

The GlacialTech IGLOO 5710 Series makes up two of GlacialTech's thirteen current CPU coolers in production. Most of the heatsinks that appear on the GlacialTech website have familiar OEM styling inspiration and I wouldn't be surprised to find that GlacialTech makes OEM coolers for Intel or AMD. The IGLOO 5710 PWM and Silent are low cost solutions so we are not planning on seeing stellar performance numbers from these products, but GlacialTech advertises support for up to 130 watt TDP processors with optimal system cooling. With any luck their 5710 line will surprise us like the Rosewill Z5 did last month.

The Igloo 5710 Silent is shipped with a low noise 1600RPM 92mm fan and a pre-applied patch of thermal compound on its base. A nice touch given its suitability for generic office PCs where non-experts may be tasked with the heatsink's installation.

Following the release last month of their 5610 series of 80mm upright coolers, GlacialTech announces their latest 92mm 5710 Silent and PWM designs. If you're thinking to yourself, "Glacial-who?" then you should definitely sit up and pay attention, we're about to blow your socks off.
