Today, I?m looking at the entry level Sony VPL-BW7 Projector that features the Bright Era panel technology. The VL-BW7 is on the lower end of the spectrum, targeted towards the home user. It has a 1000:1 Contrast Ratio and a Brightness rating of 2000 ANSI Lumens along with a 16:9 widescreen resolution of 1280?800 supporting Sony?s 3LCD panel technology. Although this is not full HD, it will allow you to play 720P or 1080i content. The higher-end projectors in the SXRD series are full HD capable but cost twice as much as the BW7 which is roughly available for AED 4,500.
