"Today for review I?ve got the new Canon PowerShot SX210 IS that is not your typical point and shoot camera, at least not what you would consider a family camera. The SX210 IS is a feature packed camera that I think professionals and novices alike will appreciate and find easy to use. There?s a ton of features that make it a family friendly, but underneath all of that lies a camera with professional features, so it?s much more than just a point and shoot. "

"Today for review I?ve got another all-in-one style printer. I?ve taken a look at printers from HP, Epson and Brother but it?s time to add a Canon to the mix, specifically the Pixma MX340 Office All-In-One Printer. The MX340 is all about business really, it?s a no frills kind of printer that gets the job done and does it well. You won?t find cute features like printing stationary and editing pictures on the MX340, you will find though that it?s fast at printing both black and white and color prints and it does photos very well also. The Pixma MX340 can be connected to your computer via USB or wirelessly connected to your network, it also allows you to print directly from your iPhone or iPod touch which is a neat little feature in itself. If you?re looking for a capable printer for your business needs then be sure to read the rest of the review? "

It's interesting to see how much technology has progressed through 2001 to 2010. Film still produced grainy images with ISO 800 rated film back then, and we now have pristinely clean photos at ISO 12,800. Without a doubt, the technology has been steadily improving, until it has come to a point where technology may just lend several helping hands to those who lack a genuine understanding of photography to achieve better photos. Like many established camera manufacturers, Canon certainly has a hand in revolutionizing technical progression in the camera scene. In fact, they were the first to have launched the professional 1D series way back in 2001. Since then they have been constantly updating this particular series over the years. Recently, the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV made its global debut, and what an advancement it is over its predecessor, the 1D Mark III.

"As predictable as the co-eds which annually flock to Cancun during Spring Break, Canon updates its top-of-the-line G series compact digital camera every year. And why not: Enthusiasts consistently rave about the G Series, as does DT, given that this sophisticated digicam model is as close to a tweaky DSLR as you can get. However, it's hardly the perfect replacement due to its slow response times (1 frame per second versus 3 fps or more). Still, the PowerShot G11 is really the pinnacle for point-and-shoot options. Read on to find out why it's among this year's top scorers."

Traveling photographers are a picky bunch. They want a wide focal range in order to capture everything from broad vistas, to the eyeballs of scampering wildlife. They also want good quality, without the bulk and expense of DSLRs. Enter cameras like the new Canon PowerShot SX200 IS, with its compact size and image-stabilized 12x zoom, plus the ability to take high-def clips. The SX200 is one of the first of Canon's Class of 2009, and we were anxious to see if the company would maintain its standards during a trip to Aruba. (Hey, even reviewers have to take "working" vacations, right?)

The successor to the enormously popular EOS 5D improves on almost every aspect that the original was lacking. And by all measures, the EOS 5D Mark II is priced aggressively - when you consider the price of the EOS 1Ds Mark III, the 5D Mark II seems like a bargain. The camera is not too heavy, and we love the fact that Canon has improved its weather resistance and battery life. However, while having HD video is a nice add-on, it is definitely more important to have a viewfinder with a 100% coverage, more AF points, a faster burst mode and a dedicated button for ISO settings (there is plenty of space!) We didn't particularly care for the Creative Auto mode, and find it surprising that Canon decided to include such a feature in a camera of this class. The video feature is a great add-on, but we?re not sure it will be used much by professional photographers. Overall the EOS 5D Mark II has an awful lot to recommend it to the serious photographer.

The Canon Pixma MX7600 touts itself as an all-rounder, capable of great quality prints as well as copies and scans. We check to see how good it really is.

The PIXMA MX850 is a really good all-in-one printer that offers an exceptional range of features and great overall performance for small and home offices. Its print quality and speed suit small-business environments well, while its premium photo printing engine offers the additional versatility of occasional photo printing. Text was crisp and perfectly legible - almost comparable to laser quality - and photo prints were similarly impressive. However, photos don't have quite the range of hue that 6-colour PIXMAs such as the PIXMA MP970 can produce, and scan quality wasn't up to par. Still, the PIXMA MX850 is one of the best inkjet-based business all-in-ones currently on the market.

The PIXMA MP970 does everything well. The print head can be removed and cleaned or replaced without having to take it to someone else to be serviced, it is reasonably quiet when printing, energy efficient and produces excellent results. The owner's manual is well written, but the printer is so easy to use that the manual will not be needed much. The paper output tray can remain closed and will open automatically once a print job has started, and the hidden bottom paper cartridge is nicely tucked away and goes unnoticed. The slide/negative holder is also conveniently hidden away under the top of the scanner lid. Overall this all-in-one can outperform any HP or Epson product in the same class. Colour photo printing is accurate and monochrome printing offers laser-like quality. The only major downside is that it's very bulky - make sure you have enough room for this monster.

Like the price of a barrel of oil, the megapixel count of D-SLRs continues to climb. When Canon and others first unveiled popularly-priced digital single lens reflex cameras, 6MP was the resolution spec, and everyone was thrilled. Today, 6-megapixel cameras of any type are practically ancient history. In fact, most new D-SLRs such as the Nikon D60, Pentax K200D or Sony DSLR-A200 kick off at 10MP with 14s becoming much more prevalent in 2008, such as the recent Editor's Choice-earning Sony DSLR-A350. As for the new Canon EOS Rebel XSi, it fits right between them with a resolution of 12.2MP, but proves slightly more expensive if you look at it on a pure pixel-for-pixel comparison. Yet digital cameras are about much more than pure resolution-they're about speed, picture-taking ability and loads of little things that separate the good from the bad. With that in mind, it was time to see if Canon had a winner on its hands-or, to put it bluntly, a clunker instead.
