If you're not interested in paying extra for overclocking headroom you'll never use, the ECS P45T-A motherboard is a great board to consider. Built with the Intel P45 Express and Intel ICH10R chipsets, the ECS P45T-A motherboard supports all Socket 775 Intel processors running with a Front Side Bus of 800/1066/1333 MHz. That includes the new generation of 45nm 'Yorkfield' and 'Wolfdale' Core 2 Duo processors. Gamers who plan on running a pair of CrossfireX enabled videocards in tandem (say, a pair of Radeon HD4850's for example), will find two PCI Express 2.0 compliant PCIe x16 slots at their disposal.

So, rather than skimp on features, ECS has been providing their latest Black Series affordable motherboards with many of those seen on more expensive solutions. A while back, we had the pleasure of checking out the AM2+ supporting A780GM-A Motherboard with the AMD 790 Chipset. While it encountered a few glitches with random memory kits, it wasn't all bad results. Stability wasn't an issue and there were decent integrated features. Today, the ECS GF8200A Motherboard featuring the Nvidia Geforce 8200 and MCP78S Chipset, has finished the usual rounds of pummeling and testing to see if it's a better solution than the last.

The idea of building an inexpensive PC on a full-size integrated motherboard with a digital monitor output is getting increasingly popular. ECS is well aware of requirements of budget PC buyers. At least, judging by the abundance of motherboards with this very market positioning. Let's see what the company has to offer this time.

The ECS P45T-A is a fantastic price/performance motherboard and I have faith that it will continue to run at stock speeds until the end of time. This board is perfect for a budget gaming board, a secondary LAN board, or even an office workstation. Couple this board with CrossFire HD4850's and 4 gigabytes of DDDR2 and you are looking at a strong gaming platform...

Need to build a new rig on the cheap? Need modest Crossfire support, and a decent feature-set? The ECS P45T-A might be worthy of your consideration, as it packs in a good amount of functionality, solid performance, a cool color scheme and of course, a good price tag, of around $110.

I've seen more 9600 GT cards than I would like to honestly admit. The bottom line is, though, that the card does offer some excellent value for money and if you don't have the budget to buy new high-end cards like the HD 4870 or GTX 280 and GTX 260, the 9600 GT still remains a very good option. Today we're going to take the time to check out the latest 9600 GT incarnation from ECS and see what it has to offer over the competition. In a time where bundles and overclocks separate brands, we see if the latest version from ECS can stand out.
