Some aspects of the MS' SideWinder Gaming Mouse will make you shake your head in wonder - others will make you wonder what the engineers were thinking. Overall: a mouse with a lot of great potential, marred by several significant design flaws that may have you looking elsewhere.

Though the SideWinder is well featured, its numerous design issues and lack of appealing look and feel make it a disappointing return for the SideWinder brand.

Microsoft released two brand-new webcams last month, the VX-3000 and VX-6000, both of which have a huge feature-set. The better of the two even offers "high-definition" 1.3 megapixel video capabilities. We've been testing both webcams for the past month and relay our thoughts here.

Now that that is all done I can continue gushing about Halo 3. I loved almost every minute of Halo 3 save for a few small complaints; its one of the highpoint of the year for me. Even if you spend the $60 just for the multiplayer side of the game you will not be disappointed. If you think of the campaign as an extra and the online elements as the meat of the game you will love Halo 3. However if your only reason for buying the game is the story's ending you're going to be upset. I know that Halo's success is guarantied. Everyone I have talked to that has played multiplayer has said that it is better and more fun the Halo 2.

For three years Intense pressure has unenviably been on Bungie to deliver the ultimate first person shooter with Halo 3. The time has now come to judge and critisise their work. So, has Halo 3 really been worth the wait? And does it deserve to be the highest grossing launch game of all time?

Halo 3 isn't the ground breaking epic that many had expected it to be, specifically in the visual department. But what you are getting is a well written, well paced and well presented end to the Halo trilogy that should keep any fan very happy. Add to that simply the best console based online gaming experience ever, and it's clear that Halo 3 represents yet another triumph for the Xbox 360.

The SideWinder Mouse has some cool features like an LCD display built-in and an included accessory box that doubles as a cable holder. Sensitivity is 200 to 2000 dpi and adjustable on-the-fly. The thumb buttons are strange looking metal buds stacked vertically on the right side of the mouse. At first glance, it seems like one of those poor design calls where you will be ever pressing the spot where your thumb buttons used to be. However, the buttons are very intuitive, the bottom one goes backwards, and the top goes forward. It takes all of a second to get used to the unorthodox layout.

The mouse is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X making it a viable option for virtually all notebook users. If your notebook is Bluetooth equipped you can also use the mouse without the wireless transceiver that has 1GB of memory inside. Though the mouse is small, Microsoft was still able to get two navigation buttons on the side of the mouse that by default move back and forth through web pages and files or folders on your computer. The mouse is small measuring in at 2.63-inches wide by 3.35-inches long.

Power for the Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 comes from a pair of included AAA batteries and the mouse features a battery life indicator that glows when it's time to replace the batteries. Microsoft says you can get three months of use out of one set of batteries.

The Messenger Kit goes down as the best Xbox 360 accessory available. It really does improve the functionality and usability of the system. It's surprisingly simple to use and the implementation within the Xbox Live environment is seamless. Microsoft's console definitely seems to be on a winning streak right now!

Reclusa feels like a 'just another keyboard'. It has a good 'feel' for long typing sessions. It's silent and it has enough shortcut keys which are quite nicely located around the keyboard. It doesn't have any big flaws either but all the small mistakes put together make the whole product look bad.

The Xbox 360 Elite may not address the noise pollution issue that has plagued Microsoft's console since launch, but it does bring some key new features to the platform. HDMI support is a welcome addition, while the increased hard disk capacity will definitely be needed when the full Video Marketplace launches in Europe.

Ergonomic keyboards are one of Microsoft's specialties, so how does their latest 7000 desktop fare? Notable features include 2.4GHz wireless technology, zoom button, hot-keys, soft palm-rest and also a new mouse that promises 6-months of battery-life on a single charge.

If you have a media PC, chances are you are looking for the perfect keyboard and mouse to compliment it. Microsoft's prime offering is the Wireless Desktop 7000, which uses Bluetooth technology and is perfectly suited for Windows Vista.

Halo 2 PC is no reason to run out and upgrade to Vista, which is one thing you can be sure of. I don't know if Microsoft was trying to get more people to buy Windows Vista or what, but just don't. This makes the cost for most users far more than just the $50 to buy Halo 2, but also a Windows Vista upgrade. Wait for a good game that actually takes advantage of DirectX10 before you do that.
