3. Charging-Firmware Update
To charge the battery locate the USB power port, and connect the camera to a USB adapter or computer using the USB cable. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and ensure the charging cover is securely fastened. If you have the creator combo you can charge the battery on the battery charger before installing it onto the camera. The battery charger indicator flashes green while charging, and turns solid green when fully charged. Always ensure the USB-C port cover is properly closed before using the camera to prevent dust or moisture from entering. Charging seems on the slow side with a max charging rate of 4.83Watts. The used batteries have around 1350mAh capacity and according to our tests, it takes around 1 hour and 38 minutes to fully charge the battery from zero % up to 100%. The camera according to its specification can work up to 60 mins @ 5.7K at normal temperatures, which is more or less confirmed from our tests.
The camera can work either as a standalone or via the Akaso 360 app. The app is offered for free for Android/iPhone users. The camera does not have a built-in Date & Time setting. To set the correct date and
time, connect the camera to the AKASO 360 app to sync it with your mobile device. To connect the camera with the app, a hotspot info is displayed:

And a new firmware prompt is displayed. Updating can be done either via the AKASO 360 App (the app will prompt you and guide you through the update process) or via the Micro SD Card (copy the firmware file to an SD card, turn on the camera, the blue and green indicator lights will flash alternately, indicating the firmware is being updated. Once the update is complete, the camera will automatically restart). The whole process doesn't take long. Before starting either way ensure the battery level is above 50% before updating and keep in mind that a microSD card is required for firmware upgrades.
After a quick reboot, the camera is ready to be used.
