Samsung Sets Prices For Gear 2, Gear Fit

Samsung has unveiled the prices for two of its upcoming wearable devices - the Gear 2 and Gear Fit.

The Gear 2 smartwatch will sell for $299, Samsung announced on Wednesday. And the new Gear Fit fitness band and the Gear 2 Neo will cost $199.

The Gear 2 offers a few new features over its predecessor, including a heart rate sensor, longer battery life, and 720p video capture. The Fit is a new product that focuses more on the health and fitness aspects of a wearable device.

Also new to Samsung's lineup is the Gear 2 Neo, a lighter version of the Gear 2 that does not feature a camera.

AT&T has already announced that pre-orders will begin tomorrow for the Samsung Gear 2, Samsung Gear 2 Neo and Samsung Gear Fit at att.com or at AT&T stores.

Additionally, AT&T will offer a $50 off the purchase of a Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo2 to anyone who buy a Samsung Galaxy S 5 from an AT&T company-owned retail store or att.com.

And speaking about the S5, AT&T will start accepting pre-orders for the new smartphone tomorrow (March 21). The smartphone is priced at $199.99 with a two-year contract, $25 per month with AT&T Next 18, or $32.50 per month with AT&T Next 12. If you'd rather pay the full retail price, with no commitment, you?re look at a $649.99 price tag.

T-Mobile has also joined in with revealing its pre-order plans. Starting from March 24th, customers can get the Galaxy S5 online or in-store for no up-front payments with 24 monthly payments under the Jump program.

The devices are due for release on April.
