The average improvement of the Albatron GeForce 9600GT-512X over the ATI Radeon HD 3850 for both the game and synthetic testing is over 40%. There is no way you can spin these results to the ATI Radeon HD 3850's favor! Looks like the Radeon HD 3850 is the Hillary Clinton of this matchup... it held up until the end, but the math is just not there to give it any victory...

The front of the box is where the magic really begins. Now we can see that VGA is printed down the left side but it doesn't exactly stand out. Of course Blue Ray Decoder Card is what you see initially. Everything becomes a little clearer as you read the press release though; this Blue Ray Decoder Card is basically just a poor performing video card with HD processing capabilities. You say "OMG, that's just mean", but I say "I want the Albatron marketing team." This could be the greatest marketing idea ever!

We have already seen one of their boards based on the 754 socket and GeForce 6150 chipset, and while adequate for a basic setup its lack of dual channel memory and HDMI features make it a bit obsolete for a HD media center in today's market. With that said, we now have the latest installment from Albatron, the KI690-AM2. By its name it gives away a couple of secrets.

In the 3D tests we see that the Albatron 8600GT-256 performs rather well for its GPU class, and that for the most part it can play modern games at 1024x768 without difficulty. Turning up the resolution or completely maxing out the image quality settings is not a great idea. Nvidia's GeForce 8600GT GPU simply doesn't have enough memory bandwidth to handle that kind of load.

Albatron has a great product on their hands that you can depend on. By sticking with the NVIDIA design, we are sure that this card is unlikely to fail. The Albatron GeForce 8600 GTS is a well built card devoid of all the bells and whistles that other companies make you pay extra for. For less money you get a quieter, lower heat producing, and reliable card...

Albatron takes Mini-ITX into a new direction with its KI51PV-754 motherboard, a high powered 64-bit compatible alternative based on a pair of very capable nVidia chipsets which boast an integrated Geforce 6-series videocard and MPEG-2/WMV9 High Definition video playback support. Outside of purely industrial single board computers (SBC), it was VIA that originally delivered the Mini-ITX formfactor in all its 170 x 170mm glory to mainstream computer geeks. The standard is quite a bit smaller than conventional ATX or BTX motherboards, but really the only features lost are expansion slots. With the high level of integration in most of todays graphics-enabled core logics, the loss of a few, or virtually every expansion slot is not that big a loss. Compact sizes also make the Mini-ITX motherboard a really versatile x86 platform.

If good things come in small packages, this board has it all. For anyone looking to build a powerful car-computer this is a great alternative to the usual VIA solutions. The overall system performance is respectable given the system configuration. The dual Ethernet solution could easily turn this into a mini-server or custom router. The GeForce 6150 makes for a very powerful backbone allowing great video playback and dual display output with TV-out.

Utilizing the Nvidia GeForce 6150 chipset allows the Albatron KI51PV-754 to support VGA and DVI out. Unfortunately, there are some obvious limitations to the KI51PV-754 such as its processor, memory and add-in graphics card support. Furthermore, the KI51PV-754 is also very expensive, retailing for an incredible $310. We will find out if the KI51PV-754 can overcome these issues.

I may just be overly pleased with this card but I think the performance, scalability of SLI, and passive/silent operation is
blissful. Newer games will be required to run at low resolutions but for the price, that is more than acceptable, Keep your eyes out for 7300GT cards especially passive ones that perform well like the Albatron 7300 GT DDRII.

The Albatron KM51PV-AM2 is able to keep up with motherboards like the MSI K9N SLI Platinum and Foxconn C51XEM2AA in the office based tests easily, even though those boards are in totally different classes. Memory bandwidth seemed to be a bit on the low side in SiSoft Sandra figures, but Super Pi and PCMark05 illustrated that the KM51PV-AM2 is extremely quick. Where the Albatron KM51PV-AM2 really impressed us was in the 3D tests - with a stand along Geforce 7800GTX videocard of course. After installing a high performance PCI Express x16 videocard into the PCI Express x16 slot, it was almost as if we unlocked the Albatron KM51PV-AM2's true potential!

It wasn't too long ago that nVidia released the 7300GS video card, as a matter of fact, many of you will probably recall seeing a couple of contests scattered around the globe where nVidia was giving away these cards. Such massive publicity can only be a good thing, and tonight, Albatron gets some of the spotlight here at Overclockers Online as we review their 7300GS...

The Albatron GeForce 7300GS128 is one of this new breed of entry level videocards, and it packs a decent 3D punch for around $90 CDN ($78 USD/$45 GBP). The tiny 90nm nVidia Geforce 7300GS GPU is backed up with 128MB of GDDR2 memory, and it has the special ability to page another 128MB of system memory for a total of 256MB. We'd recommend the minimum system memory for a WindowsXP computer be at least 512MB when using this Albatron videocard...

Not everyone needs a GeForce 7800GTX (or afford it, and those of you looking for something a bit lighter on the wallet yet still able to play games will definitely be happy with what the Albatron GeForce 6600-512 has to offer. It's not the fastest videocard on the market as you've seen, but it can handle the latest DX9 games at modest resolutions and that is good enough for most people...

Today we take a look at a GeForce 6600 from Albatron that features 512MB of DDR2 memory, which is a unique for the GeForce 6600 GPU. With no SLI connectors, no additional power connector, and a single slot cooling solution this video card is designed to be in the mainstream consumers computer. Sit back and relax as we take a break from the high end cards to look at a more mainstream card, the Albatron GeForce 6600-512...

The 6600-512 by Albatron was meant to outperform the cards like the GeForce 6800 and even rival the 6600GT. While it may come up a bit short if those cards are overclocked, Albatron has provided an alternative solution that will certainly cost less while maintaining an average level of performance...
