Well, it ain't no more, as it's being pipped to the performance crown by Corsair's new-and-improved 128GB Flash Voyager GTR.
Like the Voyager GT before it, Corsair's 128GB GTR isn't small when compared to other, lesser pen drives, but it does boast speeds that border on the limits of what USB 2.0 can achieve. What we're looking at here are maximum read and write speeds of 34MB/s and 28MB/s, respectively. That's comfortably quicker than the 32MB/s and 25.6MB/s achieved by the existing Voyager GT, which will most likely be pensioned off.

"High MB video cards of course have their place in the high end segment and so does CrossFire and SLI in that same segment, but these days we seem so content that more is better and we forget to look at the 1s and 0s of the situation.
Following something that I was once told, "If you can't beat them, join them". I'm here with my second HD 5670 1GB GDDR video card and today we're going to place it with our other one to see what kind of performance this budget CrossFire setup can get us."

"If your looking for a graphics card to use in an HTPC the ECS GeForce GT 240 would be ideal as the Arctic Cooling heat sink does a great job of keeping the card cool. The best part is that it's nearly silent in operation and would not be distracting at all in a quiet room. While we don't have an official statement from NVIDIA, we have it on good authority that the GeForce GT 240 will support 3D Blu-ray. The only thing keeping it from being the perfect HTPC card is the lack of bit streaming HD audio..."

Known for their very impressive cooling products, Tuniq some time ago set out to conquer the world of high wattage power supplies. Their first attempt is the Ripper. A very fitting name for a high-end power supply capable of supporting multi-GPU rigs often geared towards gamers. Beside high wattage numbers these rigs also requires high amps numbers on the 12 volt rails and the Ripper has that too totaling 100 amps across the four dedicated rails.

?The peripheral gaming market is competitive and crowded, but Swedish company Mionix claims the Naos 5000 to be exceptionally comfortable, bore out by a rather unique ergonomic design from what we've seen. The features and specifications for the Naos are impressive, but we've seen many products make big claims on paper, only to find they couldn't live up to the hype when put to task. Can the Naos impress or will it add to the pile of gaming peripheral wannabees? Let's find out.?

Very recently Benchmark Reviews published the Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade and Installation guide, which helps erase the mistakes made by Windows Vista and introduces computer enthusiasts to the newly introduced O/S. Microsoft has enjoyed a successful launch for their Windows 7 Operating System, also referred to at Win7 or W7, and PCs have been made more productive and secure as a result. But like all good things that we receive, it's in our nature to protect and keep them. The best way to accomplish this is with a solid backup, and luckily Windows 7 offers a built-in Backup and Restore tool for creating System Images. By creating a backup file users can preserve their data, but with a System Image recovering the source disk can be helpful when replacing the drive with another. In this article, Benchmark Reviews guides users on the best practices for protecting and Recovering Windows 7 with System Image Restore Disks.

"This shrink is important as the new 25nm process reduces chip count by 50 percent compared to previous process generations, allowing for smaller, yet higher density designs and greater cost efficiencies. This is great news as that means IMFT will be able to get twice as many NAND Flash chips per wafer. Intel said that performance would be comparable to 34nm speeds today, but that endurance and reliability would be improved. Since devices like SSDs can be built using less 'chips' now you can expect to see SSD capacities increasing in the months to come. Micron even mentioned that 1TB 2.5" SSDs will be a possibility in 2010 thanks to the move down to 25nm..."

The new x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 is here!
This is the improved version of the x264 HD Benchmark 2.0 benchmark which has become a standard CPU benchmark for Tech ARP as well as many other hardware enthusiasts.
The new x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 ups the ante by using the latest r1342 x264 encoder as well as other changes under the hood. This makes the x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 the new best tool for testing the full capabilities of modern multi-core processors.
Do note that due to the changes, the results from x264 HD Benchmark 3.0 are NOT comparable with results from older versions of the benchmark.
In addition to the release of the benchmark, we will be compiling benchmark results for this new version. There are now 59 CPUs in this article, but we need MORE results! So please contribute your new benchmark results to this project!

"All of the top-line 2010 buzz in television land may be about 3D, but until those sets arrive later this year, LED backlit flat panels remain the technology to watch, since these models deliver mouth-watering picture quality. As long-time plasma fansthe tech still remains our benchmarkweve marveled at the way backlit LED LCD HDTVs have closed the quality gap with plasma over the past 18 months. Finally, were seeing LCD HDTVs with deep blacks and excellent contrast. Our main squawk with LED is cost, however, since typically these sets are far more expensive than similarly-sized plasma flat panels. Happily, now Vizio has entered the scene to shrink the dollar gap. Vizio came out of nowhere to be the number-two TV seller in the U.S. by offering decent sets at good prices. And following on this success, the manufacturer is moving from low-priced 37-inchers to loaded displays that compete with the best from Samsung, LG, Panasonic and Sony. Lets see if these upstarts can match up with the big boys."

With Intel's recent Clarkdale processor launch, the itch to build that new HTPC is no doubt greater than ever. Not only does Intel offer a wide-range of processors, but motherboard vendors are currently offering an incredible amount of H55 models. We're taking a look at two here, Intel's own DH55TC and ASUS' P7H55D-M EVO.

The Epson PictureMate PM310 combines two devices into one; a digital photo frame and a compact photo printer. In our humble opinion, it only manages to get one right, but you'll have to read on to find out which one!
