After testing their heatpaste, we managed to get our mitts on a Zaward Sylphee which has a rather original design. Instead of one fan blowing across the fins, this packs two. That coupled with a fully aluminium chassis should make for interesting testing.

Gigabyte has jumped on the P35 bandwagon already with some of its new boards being available in Taiwan for over a week, and now fully available in Australia; Gigabyte has quite a few models planned. Today's test board from Gigabyte is the P35-DQ6 that is designed around the Dual Quad architecture that made the P965-DQ6 such a performer. Does the P35-DQ6 have what it takes to follow in those footsteps? Let us find out.

Linksys' Compact Wireless-G Internet Video Camera (WVC54GC) is a pretty useful product - at least in theory. The device sends live video via the Internet to a regular Web browser anywhere in the world. The compact, self-contained unit could therefore be used you keep track of your small office, garage, home, kids, workplace - whatever's important to you. Unfortunately that's where the excitement ends, as the WVC54GC under delivers in almost every department.

The Intel P35 chipset may be an evolution but there's very little going for it if this first look at the basic performance Asus's P5K Deluxe is anything to go by. A P35 board will provide more chipset straps for overclocking as well as support for future processors and a couple of extra goodies, but investing in a P965 should give you very similar performance and certainly won't short change you.

Back in March we shared with you a preview of the Tyan Toledo i965R motherboard. As we mentioned in the preview, the Toledo i965R features Intel's Q965 Chipset with the ICH8 Southbridge while fitting everything on a FlexATX footprint. We are back today with our compatibility report on the Tyan Toledo i965R as we share how it runs on Fedora 7, Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn, KateOS 3.6, Solaris Express Nevada, and BeleniX.

Don't get confused by Thermaltake's new "V1" nomenclature. No, they're not churning out race cars or jet fighters, instead sticking to what they do best; cooling. The V1 is their latest CPU cooler, and at first glance, it's obvious they created something unique. Can this new design dazzle us with it's cooling performance, or will it fall as short as its name? Let's find out...

Backups can be such a chore. For the novice computer user, they're a maze of which folders and backup schemes to pick from. For geeks, they can be slow, inefficient, and sometimes even have the nerve to rely on our memory to press a button! Rather than listen to users scream the proverbial "NOOOOOOOOOO", Seagate has ramped up the speeds and warranty on their latest external drive, the FreeAgent Pro, and coupled it with Memeo's powerful yet intuitive backup software. Benchmarks and software analysis after the jump.

The CoolPix P5000 is a significant camera for Nikon. For the past couple of years the company has been concentrating its efforts on its successful and growing range of digital SLRs, and its ever-changing line-up of consumer-level pocket compacts. As a result it's been a while since Nikon has produced anything else, dumping super-zoom cameras from its range entirely... With the launch of the CoolPix P5000 in February this year, Nikon has returned to that market, and at first glance at least it looks like it means business.

Thankfully, where Nintendo has failed others have stepped in and Joytech has been among the first to come up with some kind of solution in the form of its Wii Power Station. Retailing at around the £18 mark, it's hardly expensive and considering the potential saving in battery costs it should pay you back fairly quickly depending on how much you play.

I want to say 'eat your heart out Apple, this is one in the eye for the iPhone'. And indeed LG and Prada have come up with a touch screen interface for a mid-range phone that actually works quite well and is available today. But the silver plasticy parts are a disaster for a phone that wants to look cool, the camera is poor, and I'm sure the casing won't be scratch free for long.

We can now publish numbers on a chipset that we saw liberally paraded at this year's CeBIT show in March. We'll answer such pressing questions as whether it's a worthy upgrade from incumbent P965, how it compares to NVIDIA's nForce 680i SLI and 680i LT, and the meaning of life (OK, not the last one).

The GeForce 8800 GTX was significantly faster than anything available at the time, and even today it still holds the performance crown for Nvidia. Also cut-down 8800 GTS versions were also very impressive and soon became favourites amongst gamers. However, only a small percentage of gamers can afford to drop over $300 on a graphics card. This means the real battle, the battle of sales, takes place at the more affordable $200 - and below - price range. And now finally, after a long wait Nvidia has released their mainstream GeForce 8 series graphics cards, but was the wait worth it?

I reviewed abit's AB9 Pro a while back and it was an excellent board. In fact, I've found almost every one of their boards to be excellent in almost every respect. The issues I had in the General Usage area of the review prevent me from giving this board either the Editor's Choice or the Hot Product Award.

Since its inception, the flash drive or "thumb" drive has given mainstream users an unique way to transport and organize their personal and professional information. These pint-size devices are holding larger and larger capacities these days, which in turn makes their value and usefulness that much more significant. My first thumb drive could only hold 128MBs of data, but now OCZ Technology has introduced an 8GB version of the Rally2 Dual Channel flash drive. These drives have been a fan favorite since the beginning, but we are going to run it through our gauntlet of performance benchmarks to see how it performs against the competition.
