There are a number of devices Thermaltake offers that you might not be aware of. For example, last month we reviewed a unique data retrieval product from them, the BlacX hard drive dock, which allows users to easily hot-swap SATA drives from a convenient desktop base unit. Today I have another of Thermaltake's newer storage solutions for review, the Muse R-Duo RAID.

For those users out there that are constantly swapping around parts, Thermaltake introduces the BlacX HDD Docking Station. This USB 2.0 device is a variation of a hard drive enclosure that lets the user plug a bare drive into an opening on top, and then eject the drive with a push of a button. The BlacX is so simple and easy to use, anyone with extra drives laying around should think about picking one of these up.

The Thermaltake BlacX Hard Drive Docking System seemed like a great idea to me prior to getting my hands on one, and I am no less impressed after the review. While not a mobile solution, it is much more convenient than a traditional hard drive enclosure for those with multiple drives to be accessed from one location.

The material inside is sodium sulfate decahydrate, Na2SO4·10H2O, also known as Glauber's salt. This material changes phases (from solid to liquid) at 32 C (90 F), which makes this product excellent at storing heat and is commonly used to store thermal energy for solar heating systems.

The model that I shall be looking at today is the VG400LBWS, or more specifically the 'Xaser VI Super Tower Black with Transparent Side Window With Embedded Liquid Cooling'. Yeah, that's quite a mouthful; but Thermaltake have made 8 variations of this same model case, so they have to distinguish between them properly somehow!

Thermaltake Purepower 430 W NP, which is also known by other names like W0070, TR2-430W and XP550 NP, is one of the simplest and cheapest power supplies from Thermaltake. In this review we completely disassembled this unit and tested to see if it can really deliver 430 W. Check it out.

Most enthusiasts that have been building for at least a few years most likely have used something with the Thermaltake logo on it. Thermaltake has a wide variety of products: cases; fans; CPU, GPU, hard drive, and chipset coolers; liquid cooling; power supplies; storage solutions; and various other stuff. Today I will be looking at the Thermaltake M9, a mid-tower that appears to take some of its inspiration from the Xaser VI. Will it meet my expectations of a Thermaltake case? Stay tuned to find out.

When it comes to performance computing, power is everything. Not only do you want the most powerful components, you want to make sure those components are provided with enough power to meet performance expectations. This is where power supplies that produce 1000W or more come into play. We have one such beast on the test bench today: The Toughpower 1000W power supply from Thermaltake.

Hard disk drive enclosures are cases for you to install a hard disk drive outside the computer, being a terrific way to carry a huge amount of data around, for backing up data, for storing and carrying files from home to the office and vice-versa, for storing and carrying videos, etc. The main problem with external hard drives is speed, because most of them are based on the USB 2.0 port, which is limited to 60 MB/s (480 Mbps). Max 4 Active Cooling from Thermaltake, however, has also an eSATA port, which is the best way to connect an external hard drive, as this interface allows the hard disk drive to be accessed at the same speed as it were installed inside the PC. Let's take a detailed look on this Thermaltake enclosure, including its performance.

Today I'll be looking at the recently released M9 series mid-tower case. There are two versions available, the VI1000BWS with side panel window and the VI1000BNS non-windowed case, which is the one I received for review. Measuring 17" tall by 8" wide and almost 20" deep, this black-only steel mid-tower offers the typical micro and standard ATX size in a compact frame.

BlacX is a USB 2.0 SATA hard disk drive enclosure for you to install your hard drive outside your computer. O.k., you've seen hundreds of devices like this before, but what makes this Thermaltake product really unique is the fact that it is a docking station, allowing you to install and remove hard drives with the computer turned on and without needing to open the device to install your hard drive - just insert your hard drive on the available slot on the docking station. In fact hard disk drive installation with this unit remembers the installation of cartridges in older video game consoles. Sounds interesting? Read on.

Thermaltake's V1 CPU heatsink has a classy, elegant design like no other. The all-copper construction and subtle scrolls make this heatsink stand out from the rest. While the V1 is not Thermaltake's flagship cooler, it still performs very well.

Apparently, the masses were very happy with the Thermaltake DuOrb VGA Cooler, so much so, they decided to introduce the same idea for CPU cooling. It's been an awhile since Thermaltake introduced a high-end CPU Cooler. In the last few years, many manufacturers have entered the high-end CPU cooling market making competition now more intense than the past. Thermaltake has been hard at work to make their products more attractive and one of these efforts has appeared as the new DuOrb CPU Cooler.

Overall, the Thermaltake 760i BigWater Liquid Cooling System is one efficient compact liquid cooling system. Not only does it integrate nicely in to your chassis, it'll also compliment most any system you want to assemble. Thermaltake took the time to preassemble some things and make the installation process much simpler. All these factors have made it a very easy system to use and should be simple enough for any and every user wanting to make a change in the way the CPU is cooled.

We like this PSU, but only to a certain extent - it's certainly a solidly built unit with awesome efficiency and it's virtually silent for just about everyone that will buy this kind of unit. The modular connectors work well, however the cable choices could be far better in more than one case. In addition, the branding is overpowering to the point of grotesque - having that in a case will only make us feel like an ad-whore rather than letting the PSU speak for itself. Even though it's nice to see a variation in colour-the white fan in particular-we're not wildly in love with the whole look.
